I think the most popular hiking route is to come south down the Crest Trail from Rustlers Park... though I wanted to avoid a long dirt/rock road, so I hiked up the Saulsbury Trail, along the Crest Trail, and then down Mormon Canyon. Chiricahua Peak itself is covered in trees, so the views from the actual highest point are minimal, BUT the loop I described above takes a hiker past Fly Peak and Monte Vista Peak (both of which have excellent vistas and are definitely worth checking out).
