Food Valu — Local services in Douglas

Always very nice and helpful but entrance into store on the right side is very dangerous. I know the spot is there and have tripped over it several times. I saw an elderly lady fall there one day and I tried to help her up but noticed she really needed to be checked out for broken bones. My husband fell there on a Sunday a few weeks back. He just had full hip replacement surgery about a year ago. He hurt for a long time after and still does sometimes. They assured us someone would give us a call the next day or the next. No phone call came. No how are you ? Do you need to see a doctor..nothing. I would think they would be more concerned about their customers and getting that spot fixed but nothing has been done and no call to see if my husband was ok. Also watch your receipts or the register while they are ringing up your items. More than one I have noticed things are ringing up more than what they are priced. Just this morning lemons rang up 10 cents a piece higher that what they are priced. Just an FYI watch those prices and expiration dates. Several times we have bought things and they were out of date or ruined when we tried to cook it and we have to throw it out. We love the people and store. It just needs some...

Stopped to get a drink out of the drink machine, left without one, they never have Yoohoo, I don't care what time of the day, most times its out, so is the Dr. Pepper, you should stock your drink machines better, and the last time I was in the store, I felt like I was being watched! The prices are a bit extreme compared to stores like Wal-Mart. Most people are willing to pay for the convenience of it being the only grocery store in Douglas. The only real perks are the super friendly associates and some products (like Wide Awake coffee and creamer) are only available here.
