Dove Creek Superette — Local services in Dove Creek

I am the owner of an expedite transport company in the process of training a driver, I stopped in to use the restroom as we were passing through. The store provides grocery goods, gas has a gift store a floral shop and a grill/restaurant so to speak in the back. Having walked their aisles and viewed their products it appears this store gouges the consumer. The store is very cluttered and upon entry was confusing as to which direction to go. The restroom wasn’t the cleanest and the mushrooms I bought were so old they were rubbery and I could not chew them and they were outrageously priced. I paid $4.59 for .575 pounds. This would mean that they are over $8 per lb SMH. While the cook seemed nice the woman at the checkout for the grill was rude and non-engaging. I asked her for a Little basket for my mushroom and instead got a plastic bag albeit the Cook made sure I got a boat. I’m wondering, if perhaps the cashier seemed rude cause she didn’t Speak fluent English? And I wholeheartedly disagree with whomever said they had reasonable prices! In summary, I will not be stopping there in the future nor would I recommend this location. There’s a Sinclair less than half a block away. If I’m ever back this way again, that will be mine...

While passing thru, we stopped for gas and ate in the small sandwich shop in the back, so this review has nothing to do with the convenience store up front, but they are obviously connected. The food was OK and should rank up to at least 3 stars, but the place's cleanliness and service was not good. We should have gotten our food and left, but we stayed. The flies were apocalyptic in nature. We were swarmed by flies constantly, food was constantly being covered by them. Probably due to ranches near by, but they need to put up some fly strips or paper to control them. The older lady serving behind the counter was something else. We had a hard time understanding what she was telling us to do, but finally figured that we were to order, sit down, eat and then pay. Food was fine, but I would not recommend you stay around there to eat it. I am sure the people are nice, but $10 worth of fly paper...

It's always a trip going to this store. Management is rude, they glare at everyone and have never said "Thank you for your business." They refuse to help you find something if you dare approach them, which nobody does and they act as if they are doing you a favor by letting you buy something, The Deli opens early but the lady refuses to cook you anything half the time. You get glared at if you ask for utensils or condiments and this is even if you are the only person in the whole store. The prices sometimes go up by 2 or 3 bucks at a time in the store isles. They refuse to order things people would like to purchase regularly. I'm not sure if this store is open as a joke or what but I have decided to look at it as entertaining instead of being angry. It seems most people are rude in the town so maybe it's not a joke. It trips me out every single...
