Piscataquis Valley Fairgrounds — Local services in Dover-Foxcroft

The people at the gate told us they'd be starting the rides in a couple hours even with the rain, after I was very clear that if there was any small chance the rides wouldn't open I'd just turn around. They also raffled off bikes, we waited 4 1/2 hours in the rain and when the time came they announced the would not auction all the bikes like they announced earlier because there wasn't enough kids. Between gate workers lying, absolutely no rides open and lying about amount of bikes being auctioned, the quality and fun of this fair isn't even 1/2 of the poor quality...

The fairgrounds itself is clean but when the fair came to town this year some of the fair staff didn't show up and left customers waiting over an hour to buy tickets and bracelets to go on the rides. Some of the game booths weren't open or staffed. Fun houses weren't there this year. They did have some good rides and the fireworks and...

It was great to be back at the fair again,2021! 😊 Saw some old friends, fair food, and great atmosphere.
