I hate giving bad reviews but the prices were horrendous. I think it's a given when we go to Amish Country that the prices at the antique shops are a little inflated but these prices were crazy.
This place is really cool and has so many wonderful things. I saw antiques that I have never come across or even knew existed, but I can't imagine people are paying these prices.
I collect and restore old axes\hatchets. I was excited to see such a huge selection of them here. The prices on these things were 3 times what I would spend and significantly more than what they are worth. There were no name hatches that were badly damaged and needed re hung going for $50 to $80. For perspective I just purchased a stamped, great brand name vintage axe in perfect condition from the antique store 5 minutes down the road for $5. To be fair that axe was underpriced and I would have payed more for it however...
Without knowing the history of this shop I would guess this is exactly why it's going out...
