I like the fact that at Hannaford's, one can go in and use their restrooms and they are very clean. This one is no exception. There is, however, an issue that I have noticed on many occasions. They have a free-standing cabinet that partially blocks the doorway to both restrooms, as well as restroom cleaning cones. The cones are left there no matter if the bathrooms are being cleaned or not. They are always there. To a normal functioning adult, this is no big deal at all to walk around. However, if you are in a wheelchair, or one of the drivable carts that they have available, you would probably find it nearly impossible to maneuver enough without some serious frustration on entering from the hallway, as it's not a straight shot in. I felt that it was simply an oversight, so I left a note on the cabinet explaining that they should remove this obstacle so handicap people can access the restrooms easily. A week later, the cabinet and cones were still there. I contacted Hannaford's customer service (as first thing in the morning, shelf stockers and cashiers are the only workers you find up front), who replied very quickly and said they would get together with management to alleviate the situation right away. That went for a week, and still the cabinet and cones persisted. I contacted customer service again, two more times, all with a week to alleviate the situation. Still, the cabinet and cones held their ground. I then contacted Dover, New Hampshire code enforcement and asked them to pay a visit. That was a week ago, and still nothing. What, exactly will it take for this management team to realize that they are incapacitating handicap people in wheelchairs to relieve themselves in the restrooms? Are they going to wait until someone soils themselves in the hallway because they didn't make it in time? Seriously Hannaford, take one minute of your time and remove these obstacles. There are people...your customers...that you are denying access to something that I would say in today's world, is a basic human right in the United States.

Great place for kids and dogs with boat launch facilities. Restrooms are not available in the winter but portable potties are available most of the rest of the year. Nestled in a beautiful scenic waterfront area just below where confluence of the Cocheco and Salmon Rivers join the Piscataqua “River”. Piscataqua is tidal for most of its length which makes it pretty much an estuary. Not easy to find. Needs permanent restrooms.

There is a pharmacy, fish counter, deli, many fruits and veggies (better variety than the one on Central Ave in Dover), however I couldn't find their dairy free cheese substitute. Nice, new looking interior. Good overall.

I shop this Hannaford EVERY DAY. Today I went in the self checkout line and was disappointed by what was happening. A woman had started an order. Then she would leave (mid order)and continue to shop, come back scan a few more things, leave and grab a few more items, scan leave grab a few more th in ngs ...The manager sees what she is doing and just comes over and moves her bag of groceries that she left sitting on the floor. He then walks away. She continued to do this for 15 minutes. Finally she comes back one last time with green grapes and a carriage to start putting everything in. Why would you allow someone to do that and not say anything. The line of customers waiting to checkout at the self checkout were not happy. A lady said she should have gone to Walmart. Clearly the manager didnt value the line of customers that were inconvenienced. I shop your Hannafords; not because of selection because the one on Central Ave has better selection and I work near Trader Joe's but drive by to go to the smaller Hannaford because it is closer to where I live. Maybe I need to stop at one of the other grocery stores on my way home and give them...

I live directly across the street from this store and have for half a decade. To say that it is extremely convenient is an understatement. That being said, I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on.

This store is consistently missing stock of items that regularly sell to the point where a trip to a second store has become the norm for me, not the exception. I'm not speaking about exceptional products either, I realize they are a half store. Only the things that they already carry, they cannot keep these things consistently stocked.

Today, all of the card systems were down leading to a complete waste of time. Now, as someone who has over a recent decade+ in managing customer service businesses, I 100% understand that things do not run smooth all the time, ESPECIALLY card systems and internet. However, after 5 years of living here, this was just the straw that broke the camels back. Its always something...
