Though it’s been a couple years I am still blown away by the outstanding, professional, courageous, customer focused experience I received. In particular I would single out Salesman Wes as the principle behind my fantastic sales experience ! The bedroom suite I had once saw and liked in the store was sold on my next visit. Fortunately I had taken pictures and sharing those with Wes he immediately said, I recognize that set, and said he could special order another for me ! We worked through the features, color (brown maple), right down to my choice of the hardware I preferred. He explained it would be approximately 6 months to have built. I was fine with that but next questioned whether delivery to the remote reaches of Michigan’s upper peninsula would be possible. He made a call and shared he could get it delivered and gave me the reasonable rate. Springtime not being good for road conditions for delivery up north Wes said he would store my pieces below the Shop at no cost until conditions allowed. As it turned out he ‘held’ my items from May til October of that year. I had another request of him. I had also made a purchase of a pub table and chairs from another furniture maker in his area; potentially his competition. When I was bold enough to ask him if there could be a coordination of those items accompanying my order from him he swiftly exclaimed, ‘No Problem!’ I was flabbergasted! What Wes did was contact the other maker, sent his truck to pick my items up, store them along with my bedroom suite, and then when I gave him the all clear for delivery, he made sure all of my purchases were on the same load. The freight firm was the equivalent regarding customer focus. They kept me abreast of timing and though it got delayed, the two fellas arrived late that October night, overcame difficulties in negotiating tight roads, used lights to see by and carefully carried in everything to my Camp and took the time to assemble a couple of the pieces. This area of Ohio is a second home to us. We were in need of new furniture & were referred to Scenic Hills by friends. We had visited other furniture stores in the area hoping to find what we wanted. Upon entering Scenic Hills, we received a friendly greeting from Wes who showed us so many beautiful options that would enhance our home. We selected a dining room ensemble that we felt would gorgeously adorn our dining area. We selected cherry wood & the stain of our choice and it is a home run! The craftsmanship is of the highest quality. In addition to our dining ensemble, we purchased our pub table with matching chairs and hutch for our wine room. This was made from white oak. With Wes's guidance, we were able to customize every detail. After delivery & actually seeing it in our home, we were in awe. It is so much more beautiful than we could have imagined. We loved our first order so well that we returned to Scenic Hills for another order. We worked with Roy, Wes & other associates to create a custom entertainment center, 3 end tables, a coffee table and an eat-in kitchen table and chairs. First off I wish I could give these folks a couple more stars! We have been repeat customers for a few years now (my wife and I have been married for 3 years). We started down to long path to building a home 2 years ago (right at the time “Covid” was rearing its ugly head). Needless to say we just recently moved into our new home. We purchased our master bedroom suit, our dining room suit, a coffee table, a large split pie safe/vegetable locker, a nursery set and other items off of the folks at scenic hills. We purchased these items a couple years ago when we started this house project. The guys were extremely gracious and held onto our furniture for us while we finished getting things in order for our house. We are extremely happy with everything we bought. The quality is some of the best we’ve seen and all the pieces are extremely durable! I know people love to complain about price but this is truly custom made furniture compared to the cheap junk you get at most furniture stores anymore. This furniture will last generations!
