Sold a horse with extreme founder. Seller called facility and advised he would trade horse. Zero response from seller and Smokey Lane thereafter. Smokey Lane charges highest commission in the area, double actually of 5 other auction barns. But yet refuses to improve facilities in any way whatever. There's zero place to park. No place to tie horses. They are left in the sun with zero shade. Sandwiched like sardines. Can't even groom, look at or saddle a horse. Myself and my horses have been kicked and injured on 3 occasions. Smokey Lane has ZERO concern. Communication with the daughter in law to list a horse....... ya good luck. Then be prepared for rudeness and favorites. Save your money and go elsewhere as I have done.
Absolutely no room to tie a horse. They sandwich all the horses together. You can't even look at horses. Let alone groom or...
Read moreI was interested in bidding on a horse they have advertised consigned to their auction, and reached out requesting to speak to the owner of the horse for additional information on the horse's medical history and training.... and the auction blocked me. They said speaking to the owners prior to the sale is not allowed. This is extremely shady and a huge red flag. Every auction will allow (or even encourage) buyers to speak with the sellers about their horse prior to the sale date. I do not do business with shady establishments. This was a papered horse with nice bloodlines, with show experience. Not a cheap horse. Buyers should be allowed to ask questions before spending a significant amount of money for a higher end horse. Clearly they have something to hide. This is a...
Read moreI was so excited when I was referred to Kayla for a horse. But Kayla has made promises that she failed to keep like helping get her fit for a saddle and couldn't even getting us the vet records. I asked her just to be upfront with me and let me know if she didn't have them and she just ignored us I find this awfully rude and terrible a business practice. She also informed us that she feeds them whatever she eats which doesn't sound very healthy to me. We were also told that the horse was okay with certain things which we are finding not to be true the horse is spooked very easily she seemed to be calmer the first day or two she was there which leads us to believe that they had her sedated. I would steer clear from this...
