Jackson Lake Overlook is is one of the places where a good view of Jackson Lake is possible and it is the last view of the Tetons, in profile, and looking to the west over the northern part of Jackson Lake. The lake is 15-miles long, 7-miles wide and 438 feet deep. There is a southbound pullout right on the highway, wide enough to get one’s car off the highway. There are no services at this pullout. It is also possible to walk down to the water’s edge from the pullout. If you are tempted to go in the water, it might be helpful to know that Jackson Lake’s water temperature averages below 60 F°, even in the summer.
