We visited Austin from LA for a Bachelorette in July and reserved a boat with Wave in Water through Kevin...best decision ever!
Everything from my initial call inquiring about the boat was handled with ease and simplicity. Kevin was great over the phone and answered all my questions regarding the booking. Super personable, informative and professional.
A couple days before our day at the lake I received a text from Captain Jimmy introducing himself which made me feel super secure in our day at sea. We communicated through text that morning and he advised us to get ice (cooler on the boat), drinks/snacks and again answered any questions we had.
Jimmy picked us up from the dock (hard to find on gps) and advised us that at the end of the day he would drop us off at the nearby restaurant instead since it's easier for Uber to locate on gps. The entire day was perfect from start to finish, Jimmy catered to our needs and took us on a tour of the lake then parked the boat in an area with all the other boats where we partied the day away. He helped us pump all our floaties, we had like 10 (Kevin had advised me that they had a mechanical one on the boat ahead of time but unfortunately they didn't have the nozzle to fit the floaties womp womp). Luckily, we had brought a small handheld pump just in case so poor Jimmy was pumping one at a time. The boat also had a large floating pad that attaches to the boat which was super fun to hang out on.
Jimmy was absolutely great and always made sure everyone in our group was having a good time. I learned a lot about the background of their company and am so glad to hear that business is doing great, he mentioned that they'll be getting larger boats next year. Bachelorette re-do?! lol.
The only suggestions I would make is that they pick another spot (easier to locate on gps) for pick up, if possible and get a nozzle for floaties! ha. Otherwise, the services and hospitality at Wave In Water are top...
Read moreI hardly write bad reviews ( please note that there have been time gaps in my bad reviews ) but , I was very disappointed in the ride today . I even cut it short because it seems we were burden on him . It was my parents first time in Austin . He hardly said a word to us the whole journey and when the journey came to end he didn’t say anything . We had to get off and say bye . It’s really unfortunate what was motivating the lack of customer service .
I swear if I get charge for gratuity I’m calling my bank. Gratuity is something I always give . I have 5 stars on Uber . And this was just not it . I get you don’t have to talk to us but , it felt like a burden and short answers .
2)if you check my reviews they are years apart .
Anyway wishing you guys the best ! We were mistreated today and...
Read moreWe went out on Lake Travis this past weekend for my sister's bachelorette party. We had Ryan as our captain and he couldn't have been better! We were able to bring food and drinks on the boat, as well as play our own music through the boat speakers. It was Memorial Day weekend so it was pretty busy, but we hooked our boat up to other people partying on the water which was really fun and our captain was very cool about. He let us know that if we were uncomfortable with any of the people that hook up near us, he would make sure we weren't near them anymore. We really appreciated that! This activity was the favorite of all of our group's weekend activities, so I would highly recommend! The only thing I would note is that if you take an Uber into the parking lot down to the dock, they make you pay per person. This isn't Wave in Water's fault by any means, just something to note that you will need additional cash with you on top of your tip amount. Overall, we couldn't recommend this...
