Cute place tucked away along the North Shore. All is good accept the sandwich shop!!! I honestly cannot understand the great reviews and raves about the sandwich shop. Went in with these high hopes that this would be like some place you see on TV (Food Network) or something. Menu looked appetizing and they offer different types of breads to have your sandwich made with!! I thought to myself "this is going to be an awesome sandwich"! I was WRONG!! The sandwich barely had anything on it! I'd of been better off bringing my own lunch of 2 pieces of bread and a slice of bologna, and it would of had more meat on it too!! What a disappointment this place was!! I also ordered some potato salad to go with the sandwich which (literally) consisted of a SMALL spoonful put in a Styrofoam cup! The sandwich, salad and pop came to over $10.00 and wasn't enough to feed a 5 yr old let alone and adult!!! I'll never be back to this...

An interesting stop for your Duluth adventure. Tom's Logging Camp offers self guided tours. Tickets are purchased through their gift shop. Admission for entry was $5 per person with no offered discounts. It will take about an hour and a half from start to finish if you read through and absorb a general quantity of what all is offered for viewing. The tour consists of a harness shop, a saw display/ horse barn, a blacksmith shop, a bunk house, a cook shack, an early transportation exhibit, a gravity house (a building that was built on a canted foundation, a Finnish sauna, a goat pen, a Llama pen, and a fish pond. There were two goats, a Llama, chickens, and fish to feed with quarter slot machine feed. The diner was not in operation during the visit. Some signage is difficult to read due to...

Being 18, this logging camp isn't much of an attraction for me and my friends, but that isn't a reason not to make a stop at Tom's Logging Camp.

There's plenty to do hear from the fish pond, to the goats, gravity house and beautiful nature trails. Lots of history is packed on this site and you'll leave more knowledgeable of the old time forestry industry and even today's.

The gift shop always has lots of cool little things to clothes and wall decor.

I would'nt say this is a must see, but if you've done everything else in Duluth and are looking for something new to do with the kids, this is the...

It may be a little bit hokey with the mannequins in the displays, but it was an interesting thing to show to our kids. The walk around the buildings is a beautiful bit of nature too. Bring a few quarters to hand feed the animals and your kids will be happy as clams. We each picked up some reasonably priced souvenirs at the gift shop, I found a very fuzzy sweatshirt for that cooler than expected Breeze off the lake. Stop by the restaurant for some very good rustic tomato soup and ice cream. I can't say how the sandwiches were since we didn't try them but they certainly sounded delicious

The employees all wore masks and were very courteous and friendly. They also had plexiglass up at the checkout. The logging cabins were interesting to look at and see all the artifacts and tools from back then. It is not a big place and we walked through it in less than 30 minutes. Feeding the animals was different as you place a quarter in a machine and the food goes down a tube and into a feed pan. Hard to see the goats as they stood by the feed pan and it was too close to the wall to see them. You can't pet the animals as they are enclosed in fences.
