This is a great location for a Moonshine Distillery. You can imagine an actual working still being hidden here. The grounds are still being worked on-a project in progress. The working distillery will be open for tours soon and the General Store is open for purchases and samples. The Shine is smooth and the flavors are excellent, especially the Peach.    Read moreThis distillery is one to not miss when you are in the area and even worth traveling to the area for it. Kristie and Travis who are brother and sister were so hospitable to us when we visited. They explained their fourth generation process of making moonshine and we tasted every one of their samples. Our favorites were the coffee and the peach which are as tasty as they are smooth. Travis is a Dr Pepper fan also and has very cute memorabilia and Dr Pepper in bottles made with pure cane sugar.    Read moreTerri and I visited Rolling Oak Distillery on Lewis Chapel this afternoon. Their General Store is small but well stocked. Even though I am much more of a bourbon purist, I was very impressed with the quality of their flavored moonshines. Chatting with the owner, a 3rd generation moonshiner and a very affable guy, I learned a lot about the trade and his plans for expanding the business.
