These people that work here are illiterate and very rude. I go to check in the guard shack and check in and they tell me to drop my trailer and come back out and go park and they will call me...so I'm like no, I'm a live unload? Anyways I didn't argue I went in to check in but here comes the yard dog asking me if I knew how to read because Im outside my truck trying to find my spot on the ground because it's dark and 5am and the numbers are double printed on the ground, he treated me like I was a rookie or something which kind of got under my skin, I go up and check in with my SAFETY VEST on and went back to my truck waited 2 hours for a call even though I was on time, which I know that doesn't matter anymore in the trcuking game. Got in my door and got my call went to get bills and this lady had the nerve to say to me that this is the 2nd time I have been up there without my safety vest and she will charge me $500 for not wearing it. First off, who are you? Stay in your place and sign those bills Ms. Ma'am. You are not the broker and can't touch the rate on the load not one bit, I guess she wanted to feel superior. Nasty attitudes here and very slow.
I just honestly don't understand why people feel the need to be rude and hateful if you don't like your job it's time to change or do something different. Life is to short to be walking around with an attitude & I can tell this place is a very toxic work environment just by the people I dealt with. For us truckers we are just out here making a living to support ourselves and our families, no need to hate us or treat us differently because our lifestyle is different then yours. We make sacrifices just...
Read moreI NEVER leave reviews but this place left me no choice. I read the reviews so wasnt too sure of what to expect. I got here about 6:30pm for a 7PM appointment. Got a door around 7:30, and got the green light around 10:30pm. I drove back up to the office just to be turned around and told that they dont go by the green light and I had to wait for a phone call saying my paper work was ready. Long story short, I ended up falling asleep and woke up around 1:30am to the sounds of yard jockeys moving trailers around. I looked around and saw that all the other truckers around me had departed the facility. So I called the office and informed them that I hadn't received a phone call about my paper work being ready. The guy who answered the phone was rude and sounded like I was bothering him. He told me that someone was going to call me shortly. Nearly 45 mins later around 2:15am I get a call from a lady saying my paperwork was ready for pick up at the window. I drive around to the office and before I can even get out the truck I get another phone call from someone who sounded like the guy I had spoken to previously saying my paperwork was ready. I go up to the window and notice the blinds had been pulled down and my paper work was sticking out of the window slot and I was the LAST truck driver to leave but I certainly wasnt the last to arrive. I dont know what I did wrong but felt like this was dont intentionally. Spent 8hrs here....
Read moreDRIVER / OWNER OPERATES BEWARE, you may get charged $450 without notice until you get your payment notification for the load! I delivered there about 2 months ago, I was about an hour early for my appointment, was there for over 5 hours after my appointment time, denied detention. No mention of any other explanation for no detention, just the normal denial. I checked on why I hadn’t been paid on this load and was sent a screenshot of the upcoming payment information. This had a $450 deduction for no safety vest. If that was the case why wasn’t I informed of that at the time? They make you sign acknowledgment of rejection damages or shortages because you may be charged for them. They make you pay late fees at the time of check in. The lumper receipt always has additional charges for pinwheel, when you know it was straight in, has restack fees when know that wasn’t true. I unload myself when allowed, so I know the deal. Run up the charge to get paid more for doing it with capstone. So i feel this was just another crooked tactic by the receiver or the broker. I have asked for pics of my violation. The broker on this load was Longship out of Lexington Ky. They said they would not bother the customer for this proof. So I’m not sure if it’s the Foodlion or the broker. I do know that during the daylight you see very few people with vest on, other than the ones that drive in them. So just another way to rip off the...
