I've started going here with my family last year, this year was even better than the last (because it wasn't so hot this time đ ) The dedicated staff is always there directing the flow of traffic in and out of the parking and fair grounds so that people can always go in and out in a timely manner (which is amazing).
The rides were more of less the same as last year but the kids love it all the same! My girls are still small so as they grow they can get into new rides that they couldn't have access to before so every year is something new for them.
There's also plenty of food to be had, stalls and restaurants in the grounds make it easy to find food with plenty of seating.
There's also the farm auctions! The animals to see with the kids, which for us city folk you don't get to see everyday. There's even a scrim that sells farm equipment, motorcycles, pools, spas, jacuzzi, you name it! There's even a kiddy section for the rides as well.
In summary, there's a little bit of something for everyone here at the Wayne County fair. My family loves it and will likely continue to love it for...
Read moreI have been attending this fair annually or biannually since my childhood. However, I must express my disappointment with this year's event. I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to interact with the animals, but unfortunately, the barns were closed due to safety concerns. While I understand the importance of safety, I cannot deny my deep affection for animals and the joy I derive from interacting with them.
Furthermore, I encountered a significant issue that caused discomfort and inconvenience throughout the fair. Numerous individuals were smoking pipes and marijuana cigarettes, and they frequently blew the smoke directly into the faces of others, including myself, who suffer from asthma. While I acknowledge the importance of personal freedom, I believe that consideration for others should be paramount. It is unacceptable for individuals to intentionally blow smoke into someone's face while they are simply trying to enjoy the fair.
I hope that these concerns can be addressed in future events to ensure a more positive and enjoyable experience for...
Read moreI have been coming to this fair since I was born, I know the rules and what shoes are allowed and not. I have always been able to ride with sandals ONLY if they have straps and wonât fall off. I was in line with my friends ( one who was also wearing sandals with straps). I was not allowed to ride while my friend with similar shoes was. When i asked why others were allowed on with the same shoes and similar, i got a hand put in my face and they turned around. AND THEN PROCEEDED TO LET THE GIRL BEHIND ME WEARING SANDALS ONTO THE RIDE WITH NO ISSUE. I asked where to get a refund and was sent to the office of the Wayne County Fair who said itâs not their responsibility to give a refund, and sent me to a different building⌠who then told me it wasnât their responsibility and sent me back to the men who put their hand in my face. Those same men then disrespected my friend when she asked why i wasnât allowed on but others were by putting their hand in her face and ignoring her, and then they proceeded to close the ride and make everyone else...
