Even though I had a different experience the last time I took in my 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee, for me personally, their service has tremendously improved. Ashly was great assistance and was able to help me out with an out of pocket fee. I had many questions regarding the diagnosis of the vehicle and vehicle mechanic/tech Larry Garza provided great assistance by explaining to me in detail what the issue was and his experience in dealing with similar issues with the same make or model. Because of Larry’s full explanation I left the service department more at ease.
I took my 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee for service and the first question I was asked was wether I had purchased the vehicle there. It’s not supposed to make a difference, even though I am an Ancira customer and have purchased other vehicles there including a 2021 charger that I purchased a little over year ago. I’m a big believer in supporting local businesses , unfortunately the Ancira dealership in Eagle Pass was still recovering from the COVID market and had a very small fleet of vehicles and did not have what we were looking for.
One of the issues with the grand Cherokee is the AEB emergency break system warning/service required I am getting on my screen. My windshield wiper mister is also not working. First I was told they did not have any available technicians to work on the AEB break issue. They were not optimistic about having the issue repaired at all. They said they would order the required part but had no clue when it would be available. They said I could keep driving the vehicle in the mean time, but couldn't tell me wether it was dangerous to keep driving the vehicle. As for the windshield mister, they said they could not pin Point the issue, but they figured out it wasn’t an issue with the hose (I figured that out on my own, if it’s the hose the windshield fluid pours out from somewhere, but at least you know it’s the hose and not the mister pump). They said they did not have any technicians that could work on the issue. They didn’t even bother asking me to bring the vehicle back or even tell me what their options or resolutions were to have the wiper mister fixed, they pretty much concluded their work there. I asked if they could set up an appointment to bring the vehicle back to have to mister fixed and they said they would call me back and I have yet to receive a call back.
I’ve been very patient and respectful to the ladies at the service desk, although every time I have to deal with them they seem to easily get frustrated with the vehicle issues as if they are the ones who are going to be physically fixing...
Read moreService desk was very helpful, however my truck had the engine light come back on after the repairs within 2 days. Questionable work by techs.
UPDATED! DO NOT take your vehicle for service here, EVER! The technicians have no idea what they are doing. I asked about a noise in my brake, even told then it sounded like it was in the driver's front... they told me the brakes were in good condition and no problems found... 2000 miles later, I had metal to metal pad ruining my rotors and making it nearly impossible to stop in the rain.
They cross-threaded my valve-stem which subsequently broke when the cap had to be forcibly removed, never replaced it despite being the reason it broke. Said they couldn't get the part (2 weeks) and ended up putting a rubber valve stem in instead... the sensor won't work now and the tire light runs continuously. Said they would replace it, never did.
Took my truck in 2 different times for the same problem - all my O2 sensors burnt out all at once. First time, they fixed it under my warranty, this time, they claimed it was the catalytic converter and therefore wasn't covered under the warranty. They then stated that there was only 1 converter in the entire country and they couldn't get one for approximately a month, but no guarantee. I had to personally buy one from a local part store who shipped it to me in 2 days. After all this, they overcharged me for the services as I was quoted and approved $200 in labor, but charged me nearly $500. They did replace the fried O2 sensor under their warranty however.
Finally, this joke of a repair shop screwed the repairs up again for a second time as the engine light keeps coming up saying the O2 sensors are once again bad... A simple youtube or google search clearly states that the problem is most likely the computer (ECM) as I told them the second time. This part and labor would be covered under the warranty, however, they insisted on it being the converter... so they could get money out of me when it should have been covered.
DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE! You will be cheated and they will damage your vehicle in the process!!! Proof is...
Read moreI had the worst experience at Ancira Eagle Pass. Very bad customer service and communication. When I went in on Monday April 24 and they told me that they would give me a diagnostic in 3 days, they texted me until Saturday May 29th and told me that they need it approval from my extended warranty before starting, on May 2nd they told me that the part had been ordered and it would arrive the next morning and that they would work on it and have it ready that same day. After that they would not answer my calls. They had it ready until Friday at 5:30. I took it in for 3 different things and they only fixed 1. One of the things wrong was the remote start and they would tell me that it was working fine, then I picked up, it was not working and they said that they had not work on it because when they tried it worked. So I had the technician see it and try it and it wasn't working. It also had a vibration that they were supposed to fix but they said they thought it was the control arm that they changed so they didn't fix that either. I could not leave it any longer because it had been 2 weeks already and I need it my car. I got home then I was backing up and noticed that my back up camera wasn't working, I went back and told them, by then it was 6 pm they told me it was closing time and they called the service manager on my request but he refused to take my call he said I had to go back Monday and that I had to make another claim on my warranty even though it was working perfectly fine when I took it in for service. Very dissatisfied with ancira eagle pass, worst ever customer service and specially from service manager that refused to take my call when I was...
