In response to the employee of Shooters Below. I have no problems being coached on Safety. We all can make mistakes. It's the way you went about it. You are up in peoples faces, loud and aggressive. I have been shooting guns my entire life, and served doing so. There's a proper way of talking to someone, your people skills have been lacking. You have a job to do, and I understand your in charge of that range and the safety of the CUSTOMERS. The Rifle which I purchased at Shooters was un bagged virtually in my stall. The tip of my bag was over the yellow line. When I picked up the riffle off the floor it was pointed down range(RO Claims my riffle was ponted in an unsafe direction, would love to see video on this, for my rifle was picked up virtually on the yellow line, facing done range). If you felt I was breaking range rules, you could have nicely asked me and coached me. Know one deserves to be spoken down to and belittled. That's what you did. I was upset, and tossed my bag and forcefully put my bagged riffle on the black counter. Alfie encouraged me to let it go, and at that point, I left to calm down and cool off. I went outside, and Alfie came out to speak with me. I will not repeat what he said, and betray his confidence, but you should take after him, and learn some lessons from him. I truly don't need this aggravation, I go to Shooters to enjoy myself and have a good time with my family.
*___________________________________________________________________I am a member here, and had very similar experience as below. I've never had a problem in the retail center, but have issues on the range. Bought over 20 guns and rifles here. I take my 7 year old son there, and let him shoot .22 Caliber LR only. One of the first times I took him there, I had an issue with my son, where he didn't understand something I was saying to him. The Range Officer was right behind me, almost stalking my son and I, loudly said to us, If he doesn't listen, you must leave the range, rude and nasty. I corrected the issue and finished my day very quickly. The guy in question is 40-50 years in age, stocky and has a beard. The other range officer, Alf is an godsend. He treats my son and I respectfully, and keeps an eye on us, but from a distance. He does it the right way. The other guy is simply rude and almost stalks us, and hovers. We for the last few months will only go when Alf is there. At 4pm, the other guy comes in, we leave. Fast forward to today, we had to get there little after 4pm. Alf and the nasty guy was there. We were in the secondary range. Alf asked us to place our gun bags up against the wall, and take lane one. Our bags were literally right in our stall. The tips of the bags were over the yellow line. So my son started shooting, no problems. By the way, safety is our number one goal. I stand right over him. When my son was done, he stepped back, I put his weapon in bag, which was right to our left by our feet. I then unbagged my AR15 from the same spot and put it up on my stall. Nasty RO came up from behind us in a confrontation manner and lectured us about how I should have unbagged gun in stall, not on floor. I was technically wrong for not lifting my bag the foot it was away, but needless to say, the way the guy spoke to me was just wrong. My son started crying when we left the range, and he doesn't want to go back. There is a way to speak to someone, and a certain tone one can take. Alf the other range officer was there, and heard the whole thing. He agreed the younger RO's tone was way to strong, especially when a 7 year old is involved. So now this is 2 times we have been treated this way. I pay the membership fee there, and will consider not joining when its up. My trips to the gun range don't need to be stressful. If the owner of the range would like to speak with me, I have no problem with that. I serve the public and feel he should know how his employees...
Read morePAY ATTENTION TO THESE REVIEWS AS THERE ARE SIMILAR EXPERIENCES TO MINE. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE! I give two stars because of their store side of the business. They do have a nice selection of items and the staff at the counter on that side are more approachable and friendly. It was a nice experience on that end. As far as the back end where the guns are located, we initially made contact with an older male who had glasses, short hair (wish I got his name) HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I felt so bad, I brought my husband here for father’s day to shoot but we ended up leaving shortly after. This specific male staff member was SUPER DISMISSIVE. My husband asked him if they had a specific type of gun and this particular staff member walks past my husband fairly quickly and says “I DONT KNOW!”. My personal opinion what are you doing in the back then? You seem like you work there with some kind of knowledge, could have simply paused took the time to say you dont know but theres someone else that can help. HELLO where is the customer service? I will say a couple seconds after that interaction came a very nice gentleman whom took the time to acknowledge us and pointed us in the right direction (didnt get his name) You know who you are, thank you! Maybe they can have this gentleman train their staff on GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. There was also a young man sitting on his phone acknowledging other folks and didnt care to acknowledge us. I guess they pick and choose whose worthy of being acknowledged. I wish i encountered this experience PRIOR to spending 500$ on a safe here. But lesson learned, if you are big on customer service and feeling welcomed where you feel spending your hard earned money- I WOULD RECOMMEND YOU SKIP THIS PLACE AND GO ELSEWHERE. there are so many other...
Read moreCalled this place up yesterday to get information about the ccw course. Arrived today after an hour drive to find out the phone conversation was nonsense. Here's my essay: Firstly, I called asking about price, scheduling, and things I need to bring. What I wasn't told (and found out when I got there) was that I needed to sign up beforehand, I needed to bring my own holster (not mentioned on the phone), and for some reason .22s are NOT ALLOWED for their course. Dumb decision from dumb people. The blonde woman I spoke to about this claimed that it didn't have enough stopping power and that a 22 "will just p*ss [a shooter] off", implying that the harm caused by the caliber is minimal, which is WRONG. I was also told that I had the wrong conversation with whoever I spoke to over the phone. I asked if there was any sort of print-out that outlined the range's rules and requirements for the course and was essentially told no, and that they would discuss things further later when I was better prepared. There is nothing on the website about this stuff by the way. Absolute unprofessionalism and complete buffoonery to suggest a 22 is some easy-mode tool that cannot be used for self-defense. This is ONLY the range's rules, NOT the state's. I came to go through the course with the firearm I have, not to be falsely lectured with some asinine opinion and rejected from moving forward. Wasted gas and time, but at least I got a refund. Upon calling up various other instructors and ranges to see if 22s were allowed elsewhere, they were all baffled by my brief account of experience here. Cool instructor (for the first hour I had with him), uncool for the rest who are actually in charge. This is...
