PETE'S — Local services in Earlton

During my trucking career I ended up running out of hours at this location and spent a very rainy night in the back parking lot. This place seemed fairly run down but had a nice charm to it, the lady inside was super friendly. The washroom had like a sawed in half door that was repaired somewhat in the center but was still very much operational. I awoke in the morning and stumbled my way inside an open back door to come across a "hot Food" bar in front of me and the kitchen to the right. As I looked into the open door of the kitchen it was pretty grungy, grease and bugs... The hot food bar had some Cheese infused tater tots in it that I could only imagine were cooked in that kitchen... I used the sketch washroom again and looked around the store, but tater tots were really the only thing appealing to me. This was one of those "Do I tempt fate moments" and I am glad I did, these tater tots were out of this world, perfect texture, beautiful golden brown and every bite splurged a cheesy goodness into my mouth that sent me to bliss. Since 2019 I have been telling everyone that this place holds the title for the #1 Best Tater tots in existence. 5/5 stop here if possible and try those tater tots if they...

Pete's 54 in Thayer I am a every day customer in there at least three times a we give u guys lots of business with the company I work with at none of us r happy with the Pete's now every day the Pepsi machine is down we complain about all the time and never gets fixed even tho they just had someone down to fix it they say and horrible about restock and prices are high then ever because u guys think u can do that to a small town be nice if we could at least get wat were after and staff is horrible takes forever B's around while we stand in line hope some...

BEWARE — Their self-checkout doesn’t calculate items that are on sale so it feels very bait-and-switch. The cashier said she couldn’t do a refund since the manager wasn’t there to authorize it, but said if I would come back tomorrow they would issue a refund. Helpful if you live in Thayer; not so much if you are passing through town.
