
Went to Curling open house event. What a fantastic way to introduce people to the sport and let them actually give it a try. I started out falling all over the place, luckily you're down in low crouch so "falling" was primarily rolling over or sitting down on the ice...no getting hurt. There was actually a gentleman ahead of me that was in his 80's. By the time I had worked my way all the way around their stations, and the arena, I was able to push off and get the stone all the way across the ice, and in the direction I was told....amazing! I would definitely follow up with lessons or a beginning league. They have a big tournament coming up April 20-22....right here in Traverse City! Go see...
