Dare I say that I’ve found the best milk in Lancaster County?? 📍Maplehofe Dairy 799 Robert Fulton Highway Quarryville, PA #maplehofedairy #lancasterpa #milk #milkhaul #pennsylvania #pa #discoverlancaster #shoplancaster #milksupply #milktok #717 #staysanddos #musttry #fyp #lancaster #lancastercounty #quarryvillepa

This place packed a LOT into a relatively small place. They had just about everything you could need, plus an ice cream counter. The dairy section had items you normally can't get in a supermarket, like cream line milk, but they also had flavored milks...do yourself a favor and get orange cream milk, you can thank me later. They had local favorites that I've never heard of, such as loaf mix in the frozen section (it's like Spam and pretty tasty). Bulk spices and candy were also avaliable. The ice cream...they make their own waffle cones! Lots of different flavors to be had (the Bordeaux Cherry really tasty). I thought the prices were very reasonable, and the employees were very pleasant.

Nice little store. I paid cash for the ice cream, which was the line with no waiting, so cash is still handy. You can swap out your glass milk jugs pick up fresh milk, and buy good peanut butter! We sat on the swinging bench on the front porch, like the old days.

The Maplehofe Dairy Farm Store is like stepping back in time to the 1940s. While the store has refrigeration and air conditioning all other aspects are as they were in the wonderful past. Milk in glass jugs, butter in balk, the best hand dipped ice cream on the planet, local in season produce and baking needs in balk. The baking items are the most interesting. Slabs of both dark and white chocolate plus several kinds of flour. I like to get the cake flour there which is low in gluten and therefore makes for a very light textured cake. While you can get this kind of flour in a regular super market, the price is double that of ordinary flour. But not at Maplehofe, it is the same price as ordinary flour.

Maplehofe also stocks an unusual number of pancake, waffle, and funnel cake mixes along with a large variety of flavorings. This time I even found special powder mixes for making vanilla and chocolate ice creams.

There is also a limited amount of cold cut meats and frozen locally grown beef.

There is also a nice collection of locally made lawn furniture on the porch which is sold by Maplehofe. Don't know how much of it is sold but is does get used frequently. From spring to fall the thing to do on a summer evening is to get an ice cream cone and then eat it while sitting on the porch. The single dip is easily the equal to many other's double dips. The price for two single dip cones is about $5. They also have hand made waffle cones for an extra 75 cents.

In all it is an interesting store which is very reminiscent of the neighborhood grocery story...

We visted here while we were on vacation at Yogi Bear and as soon as we walked in the door you will be in heaven. There was a delicious smell when we walked in so we had to ask what was being made and it was waffle cones smelled so good. But they have all fresh produce and great prices, they had milk in glass bottles, they had orange milk, mint milk, blueberry milk. My first trip I bought tomatoes and they were so juicy and ripe best tomatoe sandwich I have had in a while. And of course because of the smell of the waffle cones we had to come back so we went the next day for their ice cream to die for a lot of flavors to choose from, I got their milk shake the mint cholocote and wow was It great, my husband got the waffle cone and it was as good as it smelled and the kids got cotton candy ice cream so good. As I was walking out on the shelf they had a big bag of the little marshmallows that come in lucky charms for only $2.10 I was in heaven. Definitely worth the...

Delicious ice cream! Lots of flavors to choose from too! My husband was impressed at the waffle cones which had a fold at the bottom tip so the ice cream wouldn't leak, plus the cone was nice and crispy and stayed that way until he finished. ( At other places he's gotten waffled cones dripped from the bottom tip and turned to mush! ) We also bought some farm fresh cream line milk. They sell it in the old fashioned glass bottles. I've been trying to avoid plastics so I was happy to pay the deposit for the glass bottle despite the fact that we really don't live close enough to run there weekly. My husband uses it for his coffee and I use it in baking. It's nice and creamy! My daughters and grandkids spotted the candy isle. They have a big variety of all kinds including some of the older varieties that you don't find at a...
