Brought my great grandmother's antique sewing machine (1927 National Two Spool) in to get cleaned up and put back into working order. Was very excited and happy to see the old girl working again for the first time in 50 years. However I was told doing so with my machine would be "pointless and expensive" as it requires long needles they don't make anymore. Pictured below is a modern sewing needle next to the needle that was still in the machine from the last time it was used to sew and they're the same size, but if that doesn't convince anyone a simple YouTube search can find people still using and sewing with the same machine I have. Also when I returned home with my machine I put a modern sewing needle in it myself and put few stitches in a scrap peice of fabric and it worked fine, aside from still needing the work I brought it in to get. So I don't know why I was told it would be pointless due to the needles because people can clearly get things that still work. I gladly would have paid what it cost to get my "pointless" machine fixed and done what I had to to track down needles. I came here based on recommendations and good reviews but I will never come back if only for the reason I was told my machine was pointless. I am a stubborn and determined person so I will be taking my "pointless" machine and going somewhere else for the "expensive"...
Read moreI just purchased my babylock serger from them about 2 weeks ago! When I walked into the shop that day, I was very impressed. Linford was very knowledgeable of tge machines he was selling. I told him a general idea of what i was looking for and it didn't take long to settle on this particular serger. I live in Oregon (visiting family in PA) so obviously I would need it shipped. It came exactly a week later, threaded and ready to work! I pulled it from it's well packaged box and set it up on my table. I have been very satisfied with this whole process from that day I walked into the store to the day I received it. My serger works amazing and I am super satisfied with this purchase. Oh, and price wise? Very reasonable!! I would buy another machine...
Read moreThey sold me a machine that I can't use for what I bought it for. I also believe they sold me a floor model as a new machine. A new machine should have been in a box. I truly doubt that Juki ships their machines unprotected in the back of a truck. They do not have any knowledge about industrial machines or machines for leather if you are looking for a machine that will work for leather look elsewhere. They also told me that they would show me how to use the machine and they only showed me how to thread it incorrectly, and did not even know where all the oiling spots where. One star is way more than they deserve but google requires...
