Zinck's is a fabric adventure. The outlet store is located on route 23 in Goodville. It's is a hidden treasure trove not visible from the road until you reach the building in the back at the end of a long parking lot with several businesses. Zinck's is interesting from the moment you walk in the door. It is deceptive how huge it is until you enter the main warehouse room and take it all in. Every type of fabric that you can imagine awaits your arrival. Home deco, jersey knits, sequins, cottons, flannels, quilt cottons, and much more fill several jumbo rooms stacked floor to ceiling. If Zinck's doesn't have it no one does. There is a fabric there for every purpose. There are bolts and bolts of fabric as far as the eye can see. Zinck's is a must see. Allow plenty of time to explore this fabric destination to see all the options including an extensive selection of sewing supplies and notions. Be sure to ask the associates for anything that you are looking for because they are extremely helpful and familiar with everything in the store. This is how fabric and sewing shopping should be and I hope it always...
Read moreAs a long-time quilter, i love Zinck's and i go there every time we visit this area. The store is located away from the main tourist sections, a plus in my book. It's kind of an industrial complex in a very small town but easy to find with GPS. The store itself is huge although it looks like they closed off a section. That was no problem as there was plenty left to explore. The first section is quilting fabric and there is a lot of it! This is increasingly more valuable as my local quilting stores have closed up and buying fabric online is tricky. So being able to see the fabrics and get a feel of them is much appreciated. The store is well lit, and the colours are easy to see without going to a window. Zinck's has the best prices on quilt fabrics that i know of, including many online venues. The back room is still big with decorating and sewing fabrics. There is a costume section but most of the sewing fabrics are more basic and a great value especially if you're looking for quantity. The ladies who work there are helpful and easy to talk with, i always enjoy being it. And i will be going back...
Read moreWhile out of the way, Zinck's is a hidden gem well worth traveling for. My wife is making costumes for a high school musical. It's been hard finding quality fabrics to suit her needs... even harder finding those fabrics at a cost-conscious price (she's on a tight budget). The selection Zinck's offers is spectacular. The prices, in general, are great. Those seen in their expansive (warehouse-like) clearance section are even better -- e.g., $5.99/yrd 15-yrd bolts are priced down to $2/yrd. Are you kidding me? I'm thrifty in general. Zinck's is wonderful. Beyond fabrics they provide almost any sewing, stitching, cutting, etc. accessory you can imagine. And all this is backed by an expert and friendly staff. I was simply along for the ride when my wife went to Zinck's; but, if this is your type of scene, the hidden gem that Zinck's is makes it a trip...
