Visited this Saturday, some of the vendors were either closed or hadn't set up for the day yet. Although we didn't purchase any items as we were coming from out of state, we liked what we saw. I regret not buying some of the peanut butter, it looked delicious! Unfortunately I had two jars at home and couldn't justify it. I'll have to plan better before coming and not do any grocery shopping beforehand, I'm sure that will improve my chances of buying from multiple stands.
Knocked one star because some of the vendors had products that were unattended and I wasn't sure how to pay for them. Do I take them to the register across their booth? Or maybe they're closed for the day? I just wish there was some sort of indication as to where to go (there is one booth that tells you to take their products to another booth for payment, I'm sure that helps!)

Read moreThis is a great little farmer's market at the junction of 743 and 22. While the selection is not as vast as Harrisburg's Broad Street Market or Lancaster's Central Market, they have lots of little curio shops as well as an excellent bakery (Sandi's Breads) that makes delicious whole-grain, healthy breads, a reasonable, well-stocked plant store (Lisa's Floral Creations, a local wine store (Olivero's Vinyard) with particularly good Niagara wine, and an excellent Amish fried chicken place in the back of the second building. I wasn't impressed with the coffee shop though unfortunately. If you're looking for an excellent cup of joe, and the Farmstead Farmer's Market is open, make the drive over to Harrisburg's Broad Street Market and grab some from Elementary Coffee Co. -- easily the best...

The people are so nice along with the selection for being a smaller farmers market. I love that they have places for loose leaf teas and natural dog treats. They have an organic produce stand that offers lots of useful info on GMOs and the like. In the front building is an awesome antique shop and the owner is super friendly. The antique shop has extra hours. The only thing I'd like is if they were open on Tuesdays as well so I could go twice a week. But I'll settle for Friday mornings, which by the way isn't totally crowded and...
