We first started sending our kids to Sky Camp during the pandemic, and they've kept going back year after year.
Located on the bucolic campus of the International School of Ministry - right next to Indiantown Gap. Probably about 8 minutes down 22 from the 743 exit off I-81.
Some massive wins for Sky Camp:
Craig (Camp Director) and his counselors (typically students attending the Seminary) truly do care about every single one of these kids in attendance and it's truly a blessing to have this Camp just down the road.
One of the questions we maybe had going in was "This camp is at a seminary? Is it preachy? Are they using it as a recruitment tool?" That answer is equivocally no.
Is it faith-centered? Sure, absolutely. But it's focused on morality, empathy, kindness and growing as human beings based on the lessons from the Bible.
Looking forward to many more years of our kids attending Sky Camp...
Read moreThis camp is amazing. My kids love going to camp here. One has aged out and the other continues to enjoy everything about camp. Sky summer camp has some amazing things that we parents enjoy: early arrival, late pick up, options to go on some amazing field trips that I was not even an option such as guppy gulch, and the security that is implemented on the campus and with pick up and drop off. The campus is secure with a locked gate throughout the day of camp. This gives a relief of safety for the kids. The kids are broken out into grade appropriate groups and have absolutely amazing counselors. Another amazing feature that I love is there are no electronics allowed during camp. This allows the kids to enjoy working with each other and the college campus they are on.
Some of the things that the kids love is arts and crafts daily and the fun activities they enjoy. Swimming everyday is great as they have life guards as well as counselors at the pool. They have a special extremely long slip and slide that is 200ft long. As the older kids can get bored, they do have times once a week or so that they can make desserts to share such as cookies.
With the counselors having a designated age group, they get to know the kids very well over the weeks. We attend most weeks and get a discount for scheduling and paying upfront.
Another option we are not able to use is they have bus stops in the area for the camp to pick up kids and take them to camp. This would be amazing so you had transportation if needed.
We love this camp and return...
Read moreThis camp is amazing. The staff are warm and welcoming, and you can tell they really care about the kids. The whole place feels safe and well-run, with tons of space for outdoor adventures, sports, and creative activities. Every time I’m there I see kids laughing, making friends, and just having the best time. It’s the kind of place that builds confidence and character while still being a blast. If you’re looking for a top summer camp with a great atmosphere and people you can trust, I can’t...
