I am terribly hurt and shocked by the owner of this business. I’ve shopped there for years, spent a lot of money, furnished my daughters apartment etc. I bought a pair of diamond earrings (small) wore them a few times and my ears were irritated. While I was at my jewelers making a purchase I asked if they could test them. They were not real. I contacted her personally (I considered her a friend) to let her know, thought it was an honest mistake and was prepared to accept credit. I went to the store, they had changed their hours because of the pandemic and were closed. I was leaving town and texted her that I could have someone drop them off or I’d bring them in when I returned. I didn’t hear back. When I returned, I brought them in and her husband tested them in front of me and they were not real. He asked if I could leave them there and he’d discuss it with his wife. A month went by, I didn’t hear from them and when I went to see what was going on, she claimed they were not the earrings she sold me. Basically saying I was dishonest and switched the earrings. I left upset, angry and hurt. I didn’t take the earrings nor do I want my money back. She chose to forgo a good customer and (friend?) over $350’s. Consider this before giving them your business. Since I first posted this she told the police I went to her house and threatened her!!! I’ve NEVER been to her house! I’m the one that should go to the police! I was ripped off! I can’t even wrap my head around this....
Read moreI am completely disgusted by the customer service I just received at Next to New. We purchased a piece of furniture last week and specifically asked if it could be picked up the next week prior to paying. We were told no problem, we had 7 days to pick it up. On the morning of the 5th day they called and asked us if we could get it any sooner, we said we thought we could. Unfortunately an unavoidable emergency came up and we told them we couldn't get it until the next day (day 6). We were told that our couch was already outside and there was absolutely no way it could be moved back inside. We said we were sorry, we couldn't possibly get there until after 9 pm that day... and then were told that was fine, our $950 couch could stay outside (at a closed store??) until 9 pm. This was our 3rd major purchase at this store within the last year but it will be our last. I've never felt more like a pile of money & less like a...

Saw your response and disagree...ok I get it your picky about what you take in and I gotta tell ya, so am I. But if I'm not mistaken, your sign does say Next to New right? But you carry new? And we were there not long ago and just about every other piece of furniture said new on the tag. And as for your apples to apples comment, sorry to say (but not really) you just lost two customers, myself and my husband and will send the word to family and friends. Oh and my rating just went from a three star to one, congratulations!
