Not a good review. 1st - Prices. For a place that boasts everything being grown right there (no transport fee, no "tariffs") their prices are high - watermelon "double the price" of other places that have to purchase and transport their produce. 2nd - Corn. Randy's Raisings is known for corn and mums. We felt confident buying corn from there. Eat some and vacuum seal the rest for winter! It turned out to be white corn (we usually get white & yellow) but ok. So with all the anticipation of true summertime corn we each took a bite. It was terrible. Not sweet at all. Just bland. SO disappointing. (the chickens enjoyed it) 3rd - Honey. Evidently they have their own bees on the farm as well. The jars are kept behind the counter. My husband knew I'd been looking for local honey so he asked for one. We happily left our corn & honey. In the car going home I read the label and then the price sticker... $15.00 Unbelievable. American produce (and American made goods) have no business going up. There are no tariffs. They are taking advantage and their greed is showing. We're sorry we didn't just make the trip to Manful's Farm Market - we certainly didn't save a dime buying "local".

If there was an opportunity to give 0 stars, I would. We stopped in a week and 2 days ago and spent $140 on 3 straw bales, a few pumpkins, and 3 mums, and a couple other small things. We definitely did not think it was worth the money but we loved what we got. We are 4 hours away from home and know that that was very pricey compared to what we could have gotten. Other than the price, we walk out this morning and there is mold starting all over our straw bales. Being a week and 2 days sitting out that is not normal. We spent $9 !!!! Per bale for this to happen. That is ridiculous. Any body that has enough common sense knows that they were baled when they were wet, or else we wouldn’t be having this issue. It is not because they are sitting outside. Look around! You see them for decoration everywhere. Shouldnt have mold on them. No refund or anything is going to be done. Definitely do not recommend if you want your purchases to look good for more than a week.

Got some corn and, hopefully hot, peppers. The plants were beautiful. Lots of mums being nurtured! The property is absolutely beautiful!

I have been going to Randy's for many years, all the employees are over the top when it comes to being friendly, caring and very knowledgeable about the products that he has. The workers definitely know the merchandise they are selling and you can ask them questions about any plant they have. They have very good high quality plants that are well taken care of. You may pay a little more here however it's definitely worth it. They offer wonderful customer service and they are very helpful by putting things in the trunk of your car. I can't imagine going anywhere else local...
