The cashiers (for the most part) are friendly, nice, courteous and helpful. They answered any question I had and when I needed help out on the shopping area, since they couldn't leave the register right then, they got someone to assist me right away. I have been in some other locations and the cashier's there would not really move or answer questions or anything. Then store is clean, always straightened and well stocked, except for a sale item here or there on occasion. Which they have some really good sale prices on at least 2 or 3 items each week. The deli is clean, straightened and appetizing looking. And the only real negative that I would say is with the deli workers, who are not very friendly or helpful. And they don't ask how you want your items sliced or double check how much you want or anything. That is the only area I've had any negative experience at all...
Read moreI found out Sparkle does veteran discounts. Specifically called last week and asked what I need to do to get the 5% military discount, and they said I could just show my license with the veteran logo. Came to make a significant purchase on Friday, which is military discount day. Was told at the register they can't give me a discount because it takes about a week to get the military discount added to your "diamond card" and they can't do it while you're there. I asked to speak to a manager and was told there's nothing they can do to help me. She said she was going to leave a note for management to add it to my account. Probably won't be back. Don't advertise military discount if you are going to make people jump through hoops and wait a week to make purchases. This is ridiculous. This review will also get posted everywhere else this location is...
Read moreMy family and I just moved out to the east Liverpool of Ohio area. Coming from the n.y. / philly way, the store is really rural and cute. Like your local country family store. It's nice they have a little deli in the back. It reminds you of the good old days. And I see that's what there trying to bring. However, the only cons, is when we went the people seem very sad, or like mad. I'm not sure if it's because there tired of the neighborhood? Cause if you go down further the other side looks very run down and trashy/ghetto. Maybe it's that? I'm not sure. I know times are tough but it just feels very deadish/depressed in the store unfortunately. I'm just use to things being more alive. But I do appreciate there is a local store. So thank you...
