Went here about two weeks ago, I like going to these “Amish” grocery stores. Bought a sub to eat on way home, but through it out because it had some off taste with the meat. Not spoiled, just didn’t taste right. Bought a bunch of stuff. Hand pies got tossed after trying to eat them several times, like the sub, some weird taste. The frozen sausages were good, hope the ribeye is. Homemade baked beans were from a can with some hotdogs chopped up mixed in. I make baked beans from canned beans all the time but I won’t pay $6 for a pint for them. Frozen beef soup was ok Had to cook the frozen vegetables they mixed in before I could eat it. Fresh baked bread was good, too. I tried to make American goulash with the ground beef I got there, stunk up the whole house. Again didn’t seem spoiled, just some nasty smell so it went in trash too. Read moreI feel that they're untruthful about the freshness of their baked goods and they don't seem to care much about customer service or satisfaction. Twice now I've gotten the choc chip cookies with iced filling that are hard as rocks (and some had red dots on the label. ??). I did speak to the owner but he didn't seem to care in the least, not even apologizing let alone making it right by at LEAST giving me a discount on the cookies I was buying again. He acts like he can't wait to get you outta there. Everyone else there is super friendly and nice, just the guy I was told is the owner now needs to learn about good...
Read moreSuper quaint market off route 27 in Meadville. The ladies that were working were so polite and extremely happy. I found more than I needed. Wide variety of seasonings and the price was great. I also was pleased to find cake flour and it was also priced better than I have seen in super markets.
