Jefferson Einstein Montgomery Hospital Emergency Department — Local services in East Norriton Township

Here Currently been at this hospital for 3 weeks here and I don't know why there are such other low reviews but I owe my entire LIFE to this hospital and staff at Einstein Montco as I have checked into this hospital this past year about 50 times for a bad physical issue that requires certain medications. The building is new, clean, and looks so nicely done. The food isn't bad. You get your own room no matter what. The beds are comfortable and you get all the supplies/snacks you could ever want. The nurses and staff are nice and the generally will get to you pretty fast as much as they can but I can admit sometimes patience is required but no matter what every times I've been here the will help even if it is a long wait (patience is huge). You can view your results on myChart. Every time I have been here I have had nothing but staff who would do anything for me and are like family to me by now. The nurses and doctors both truly are nice, they care, they want what is best for the patient and have saved my life in numerous situations where I was "stuck in a pickle" so-to-speak. Right now, this time around, I have currently been checked in here for over 3 weeks now because I was wonderfully admitted into here by the grace of God and the kindness of Einstein Montco. Thank God for the insurance I have that allows me to be covered at this place and thank God that Einstein has kept me here as long as they have. Otherwise, I would be out in the streets needing to get well and finding out what to do. It would be horrible... Yet, the Einstein staff and case management team are not going to allow me to be screwed and will keep me until I finally have the perfect placement at a subsequent facility that I know will keep me in the best placement I can be... I don't mind being here even longer than 3 weeks! That's how great the staff and treatment is here for every need I have. My own parents even said, "if something happens to us, we would want to come here or want you to take us...".. that says ALLOT about a place because my parents don't open up to ANYTHING like that... I love you all, at Einstein Montgomery. Thank-you, thank-you, thank-you, thank-you, thank-you, thank-you Einstein team (nurses, doctors, staff, and facility) for everything and saving my life... I love you all.

The experience I endured last night was particularly distressing; I believed I was in a critical state, only to be left in a waiting room for hours in considerable pain. The PA, Elysa Kolvek, ordered a basic metabolic panel and a CBC. I was in so much, I thought there was something wrong and wanted to rule out appendicitis. I couldn’t walk or move and the only medication that was received was by EMS. However, I question how these tests will accurately diagnose my condition. I couldn’t request a CT scan or even advocate for myself. Since, being met with the staffs in the waiting room who took offense to any patient that brought up their concerns and fears about waiting so long without an actual physician in sight or just wanting to be seen by a doctor. There was a lady who was having an active seizure that was just left in the waiting room in a wheel chair. A man crying being he was scared that something was wrong possibly with his appendices but was told they couldn’t help him until a doctor “evaluation”(he’s been waiting for hours). A lady vomiting and clearly looked severely dehydrated that daughter came to take her to another hospital after waiting for so long as her mom was slumped on the waiting room seat. There was employees just sitting around screaming “E.A.G.L.E.S” and screaming a chant while they watched the eagles games while every patient is just in dire distress as he cheered alone. On top of this constantly, being sent to this godforsaken “hospital”, I’ve never experienced such a terrible situation as this and last time I was actively bleeding for 14 hours before leaving. Went to the emergency room with my girl friend and her mother. After waiting for about an hour in a room we finally saw the doctor who was rude and short conversation wise. After about another 30 mins we saw the nurse who was taking her blood work. After about 10 minutes of my girlfriend crying and in pain about the tourniquet being too tight (my father had been a paramedic for around 26 years now teaching me how to become one eventually as a kid I took 4 years of paramedic tracing in high school along with studying with him.)The nurse went to go stick the needle in her arm and that’s where he became rude and pushy towards my girlfriend who’s balling her eyes out. He got slow blood flow then didn’t remove the Tourniquet to return the blood flow to her arm which was tighter then necessary after not getting any blood from that vein he stuck her again with no warning. After my girlfriend refused to do any more bloodwork the nurse and doctor came back and told us how’d we need to discharge her after the stomach xray. The nicest people their were two nurses that were higher up it seemed like and the xray tech but when we went to leave the nurse that did the bloodwork and the doctor were pestering us about leaving with attitude. Overall if you need to go to an er I’d recommend grand view or somewhere else then this...
