Johnson's Portside — Local services in East Side Township

My sister bought us a $100 gift card to this establishment. We use Portside all the time. Buy our bait, our gas for our vehicles boats and jet skis, snacks and clothes. We literally spend thousands there. We started remodeling our lake home and filed the gift certificate. Just pulled it out and went to use it and they told us that it expired and would not honor it. I hope that the 100 dollars was worth it because they just lost our business for life!! Anytime friends and family come here we tell them to go there. Not anymore. I no longer buy fuel or goods from Steve. His staff was beyond rude to me after frequenting this place for 20+ yrs. Those that know me know my character is top notch. As far as customer service goes, notta..I go to Malmo now, the owner is great and they have excellent chicken and ice cream. Steve don't know what's going on around there these days. Loved this place. Stopped here with my sisters after a trip up to Mille lacs. They have live bait that not only is very convenient when out on a lake, but was entertaining to look at on our little pit stop. They have food, clothing, and other basics that would be useful for camping or fishing as well. They do have a frozen section too if need be. The bathroom was clean and the atmosphere was good. I'll be back on my next trip...
