This year was my first year visiting your farm and I just wanted to let you know that I'm extremely disappointed with my experience. We needed tall trees...7 foot and could not find any to freshly chop down. We were told by workers that the best place to find tall trees was the ones "freshly" cut being sold at the bottom. So I purchased two trees, one for myself and one for my mother...$140 each which I thought was extremely pricey...never paid that much ever but was tired and cold so what the heck...felt good supporting local merchants. I made the purchase and then was told we would not have any help bringing it to the car or even to help tie it to the roof....we weren't even given any string! Thank god we had some bungee cords in the cars. We kept the trees outside in water then brought them in 2 weeks b4 Christmas doing the fresh cut and immediately in water...and watered every day. Well.....these trees either were either sickly or have been cut down months prior for I never in my life have had two trees that both dried up so fast and lost needle galore... its ridiculous. They are a fire hazard. I'm so upset as I would have thought buying trees from a local farm would mean the trees are fresh! And to boot paying $140 each! b4 taxes....If only one dyed then I would have chalked it up to a fluke but both trees dried up therefore these trees had to have been...
Read moreI've been getting trees from Maple Row since 2002 I never had any issues with their trees till this year. I am giving 2 stars not because of any issues with the staff or the experience I don't mind paying the high price because I am all about supporting local businesses. This year I had gotten a tree and had to return it for a different one which they were very accommodating and gave me no issues. The second tree I got was absolutely a beautiful tree it was perfect but unfortunately after we had put it up, put the lights on and decorated it after 3 days it stopped drinking water completely and dried up becoming a serious fire 🔥 Hazzard and I wasn't going to go through the trouble of taking everything off of it and getting another tree so I ended up just leaving it alone. I don't know if the tree was sick or something else but I never had an issue like this with any trees before, I did the same thing with this tree that I do every year with all my trees. I freshly cut it before putting it in the stand and gave it water every day but it died. All my trees usually last into February but...
Read moreGreat experience buying our tree the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Farm opens Black Friday through Christmas Eve for cut your own Christmas trees. We love the experience of walking the grounds, checking out all the trees, then finally cutting down the one we choose. This year we took our dog who loved it (very dog friendly facility!). There were a lot of people on the grounds but given how large the property is we didn’t feel crowded or rushed. We got through checkout very quickly and loaded up the tree in the pickup and off we went. The refreshments are pricey but appreciated ($4 hot dogs) and there’s a festive air. There were a number of rail gaters in the lot closest to the checkout but it didn’t bother us. Would advise you go early in the season to get less busy times and best selection before everyone...
