When a nurse asked me why I was going to STI and began telling me about a different nursing program they attended, I should have taken that as a sign to leave!! I will be clear that it is not my intention to persuade anyone to not attend but it is within my right to leave MY REVIEW and share my personal experience. What a waste of time and money!!! To me Jillian Waugh SEEMED to be condescending and seemed to pretend to be kind. That may not be another's experience but it is mine. Have you watched the movie mean girls? It's so disturbing on so many levels. Apparently, just horrible inside and out! Good thing there's something called karma. Well good news is that I am under mentorship from those with EXCEPTIONAL experience in the nursing field, attended EXCELLENT schools, attain quality leadership skills and actually knows how to teach!!!! It's so important to be in an environment of real leadership that are compassionate, have integrity, does not show favoritism, clearly not miserable with their lives and genuinely wants the success of ALL their students that show willingness to learn. People complain about how expensive some nursing schools are but let me tell you there is nothing like receiving quality education and being taught by compassionate teachers that actually care about all their students, does not create a hostile environment, shares insightful knowledge with all their students-not just some and treats EVERYONE FAIR !!! You also won't have to be worried about when you complain that someone will have the nerve to come to a student to say "the nursing world is small " or becoming a target. My advice to anyone will be complain to the appropriate authority immediately when any ugly little evil instructor YELLS at you or EVER humiliates you!! Also, report it when you observe it happening to others. That causes an unproductive environment to learn. DON'T try to simply tough it out. Documenting it isn't always enough. Go report it right away! People abuse their position and take advantage of students who are worried about retaliation. So much more can be said but I'll leave my review with even regardless of such a stressful and disturbing experience I am finally surrounded by such amazing leadership that embodies the true essence of a successful...
Read morePROCEED WITH CAUTION when considering this nursing program. The school has a documented history of lawsuits involving racism, physical abuse towards students and unhealthy internal structures. These issues have created an environment that is not consistently supportive or fair to students. Please do your research thoroughly before enrolling.
This nursing program is plagued by HIGH STAFF TURNOVER and INCONSISTENT GRADING PRACTICES .
Cheating is a widespread issue.Students openly use AI-enabled devices during exams, and INSTRUCTORS ARE AWARE. Rather than addressing the problem, the school avoids accountability, fearing that holding entire cohorts responsible would negatively impact pass rates. As a result, grades are altered, standards are compromised, and certain students are unfairly targeted.
Instructors often provide little meaningful support and instead foster an environment of stress, distrust, and unnecessary competition. Some students are even encouraged to act as “informants” against their peers, further harming morale.
The unfortunate reality is that this program functions more like a business focused on maintaining numbers than an institution genuinely committed to preparing safe, competent, and ethical nurses.
If you value fairness, integrity, and true professional growth, I strongly recommend exploring other nursing programs in Massachusetts.
