Was very dissapointed and let down by the lack of rides... For adults and teens to enjoy theres two upsidebdown rides 1 of which is very old and i wouldnt ride it its just not for me... The other rides the extent of which (for older kids and adults) is the farris wheel, gravitron, aces high (similar to gravitron), ali babba (similar to the boat concept cept it goes all the way around). Thats six rides for twenty bucks per armband or a dollar per ticket which for example the farris wheel was four tickets. The rides just weren't good either the six ridesvthey had we really tried to get into it and enjoy the rides and fair but am still dissapointed in myself that i took part in throwing away so much hard earned (my husband works thirds!) money on such a sad county fair. The food, the tenderloin fried sandwhiches were $7 each and as generic and flavorless as can be. The gator stand, didnt want gator but was thinking shrimp sounded good to split too... It was very greasy, for $15 we got a dozen greasy shrimps with the poop vein still in them halfway. The fries there was awful. Kona ice stand - $3 for a small ice my husband and i shared this too, it was the best thing we got. The sugar cakes were okay too but waaay overpriced! Needs improvement thiw preble...

The fair isn't what it use to be. This year there were less rides for the kiddos. That seems to be the case over the last few years. At least they had a couple more last year. But for the price you pay to ride, they need more. There are also not as many food vendors there anymore. At least they have made a few improvements on the animal barns. As with all the fairs, prices to play games are riddiculous, especially for what you get. All that said, we got an armband for my granddaughter and she rode the rides she was allowed to once and a second time on 2 of them. She had fun and I guess that's what it's all for. Went to the Pork Festival. It's smaller than it used to be,less craft vendors. One of the main reasons they are loosing crafters is that they keep raising the prices of the booths. It's hard to cover the cost if you're just a small crafter who would like to set up. They are bringing in more commercial vendors to fill in space. It use to be all handmade crafts. The food is high too,for what you get. It's still nice to get out for the day or both days....you may find something you just...

The Preble County Fairgrounds Eaton Ohio Early August. The fair is Always fun with so many things to do. Between The Derby's, Tractor Pulls, Live Stock Competition's, Ride's and Game's, Along with the Deeply Satisfying Deep Fried Food and Sweet's. This experience is far from being cheap now. Just to Get in it's $7:00 a person, Tractor Pulls Grandstand $8.00 a ticket. Then if you get something to eat about $25.00 per person after sandwich,Fries/Onion Rings, and a Drink. You got a sweet tooth you're looking at $8.00 to $12.00 for a funnel cake. Couldn't tell ya how much Game's and Ride's are now. Nothing cheap anymore and can easily spend $50.00 for just one person. But it is my childhood stomping grounds and will be dear to my heart. It's Definitely a must see event to experience...

Had fun at the demolition derby. No reserved seating this year which was a change for the worse. People showed up hours in advance and blocked off seats with blankets duck taped to the grandstand bleachers and even used rope to mark off sections. At least with reserved seating, you know which seat is yours and don't have to fight a family of derby fanatics for it. Overall, fair week was pretty good. It was nice to see the 4H kids and their animals and projects. Very strange to have the parade on the final day of fair, although it did seem to draw a few more visitors there earlier in the day.
