Less than 24 hours before we were supposed to begin our adventure in Hocking Hills, I was notified that our reservation in another tiny home had been canceled. I got on my AirBnB app and the very FIRST available listing turned out to be the Dogwood Tiny Home, and we were SOLD. I canât say enough about Christine and Mattâs place: the hotplate, the dishes, the cookware⌠That window that looks out into the woods? Amazing. We saw all kinds of wildlife, including a deer one morning. The little extras? Wow. Forget your toothbrush? No problem. After a day hiking the HILLS of Hocking, the air conditioned Dogwood was a perfect place to unwind. A beer on the deck was common, and while it was too hot to enjoy a campfire, we could have easily done so. And while that first hill is a bit challenging, if my little Toyota hatchback can handle it, Iâm sure whatever youâre driving will be fine.
But hereâs the thing: Christine and Matt include a DIGITAL GUIDEBOOK to help you out. Wanna know where to hike? Done. How do you get there? Hit the link that opens Google Maps. Looking for somewhere to ride a horse? Gotcha. Coffee Shop? Uh huh⌠Restaurants? Yep. Oh, my wife and I enjoyed dinner (WITH beers) at the Hungry Buffalo (courtesy of the guidebook review noting it was âclosest place for our guests to enjoyâ) for only $40. Yep. Oh, and itâs within walking distance to the best craft beer in Logan, Brewery 33. (I wouldnât recommend the beers at Hocking Hills Brewery, which is part of 58 West. The food at 58 West? Amazing, but expensive.) If you donât have something to do after your day in Hocking Hills, you didnât check out the guidebook or text Christine and Matt back with any questions. They were perhaps the most proactive and responsive hosts Iâve experienced with Airbnb.
Do yourself a favor and book the Dogwood Tiny Home TODAY. Itâs a perfect spot for anyone experiencing Hocking Hills. My wife and I will be back, and if not in the Dogwood, another of your tiny homes in Logan. Thank you,...
Read moreIf you want a fabulous get away experience, we highly recommend Hocking Hills Tiny Houses. Matt and Christine have created something truly wonderful. After learning that our original overseas travel plans fell through, my wife and I pivoted to something closer to home. Our tiny homes experience did not dissapoint. The tiny house (Juniper) was perfect. It was neat and clean with plenty of conveniences. Matt, who we met and interacted with, was extremely helpful. The online guide Matt and Christine created for guests provided us with great area recommendations. Although we did not get around to using the firepit or wood that was left for us, that did not stop us from enjoying the smores making supplies. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom surprisingly large, and the house warm and cozy despite the cold outdoor temperature. Add to this some delicious restaurants, fun arts oriented shopping, and great glass blowing and ziplining experiences in the Hocking Hills area, and we had ourselves an incredible mini-vacation. We can't wait to return and try out one of the other tiny houses, including a brand new one that was delivered during our stay. Thank you Matt and Christine for helping to deliver and wonderful experience. See you next time....
Read moreUpdate: We came back again and stayed at the Trillium this time. Just like before the experience was amazing. We came in February and even though it was 'off season ' the tiny house made our getaway so much fun! Matt and Christine have an eye for detail and when we couldn't find a brush for the grill, Matt was very responsive and quickly brought us what we needed.
The amenities in the house may be small but we were able to cook 7 meals during our stay including pizza, steak, baked potatoes, and enchiladas. The toaster oven, microwave, and induction cook top made eating in so easy and enjoyable!
Thank you for another amazing stay! We will be back soon.
Matt and Christine were an absolute pleasure to work with. Very easy booking process and great communication leading up to our stay.
The tiny house was even better than we imagined. It had everything we needed for our weekend away and more. It was charming and very well maintained.
The guidebook app they provide gave us plenty of ideas for food and fun and made finding the checkout process simple!
We booked another trip back before we left! We have found our perfect getaway...
