Update: 4th breakdown. We replaced the fuel pump; fuel filter; fuel pressure regulator and starter. Then I'm thinking we took this thing to Legends like 4 times, engine codes.....and he did not replace the fuel filter? We are trying to learn auto mechanics but we are rank beginners. But I'm seeing the big picture now regarding Legend and we are both sick over the financial loss. About 7k in to this truck and we don't trust it to go 10 miles. Just parked now. What a financial wound but we must just forgive and give it to the Lord.

Update: I must go down to a 1 Star review. Had this truck 2 or 3 months and it is broke down for the 4th time. Think the engine needs replaced. Probably the fuel pump. Legend ripped us off so bad. He doesn't care, he has new buddies and alcohol and whatever else to live for. So horrible you can't trust anyone anymore.

Sadly, I need to change my 5 star review to 3 star. Legend is a very likeable, charismatic person but we do feel he took advantage of our trust some. Misrepresented the condition of a truck to make a sale for a friend; overcharged for parts and labor; openly drinking alcohol during business hours. I really trusted and liked and and sadly that has changed. I wish him the best and Jesus loves us all--we all are sinners. May Jesus touch his heart. Lewis and Sons has a shop hourly rate of $70 an hour. I will try this shop next. Legend is not the worst, but my last bill his shop rate was $295 for 2 hours labor. Parts that cost $100 were marked up to $271. He said an oil change would be $40. It was $55. And the was an unknown charge for almost $9. And this was after buying a 1997 Ford Ranger 4.0 4wd with 270k miles for $2500. It was badly dented. Legend said the engine and transmission were good, so we bought it. Now we have a fairly bad engine oil leak. Then we had some work done on it at Legends. We wonder how much of that was needed and how much we were overcharged. We think we have been overcharged maybe $2000 or even $2500. We are older and make $18 to $20 an hour. So this hurts us a lot. At least we have learned now and can seek out a fair deal somewhere else. Hope we can help protect others. God bless us all. I hope Jesus can help Legend. He seems to be very young with a lot...

We called legend 3 times to arrange him very generously having a look at a car that had been sitting for some time, almost a year, to make sure it was safe to drive 1200 miles home. We spend a day getting it started and happily drove it to him as he has never been anything but helpful and generous. He took 1 look at my wife and refused to help her. How dare you make anyone feel unwelcome. I’ve always thought the world of legend and his family but to judge someone at sight and refuse to help someone in need, willing to pay. Let he who is without sin cast the first god sir. Please live up to the person you claim to be that your mother well raised. My wife has know you for years. We spent 30 hours driving to you stresses about the extra work to be treated awful and judged. Please do better sir you are a better...

Legend and his crew are AMAZING!! Everyone there was super friendly and welcoming and we had some good conversations while we waited for our vehicle to be done and they fixed it in a reasonable amount of time yet took their time to make sure it was done right for a really great price. 10/10 recommend, super nice people who do a great job for a great price, y’all go see him next time your...
