Schroll's German Brat Shop LLC — Local services in Edgewater

I found out about this place through my local community's Facebook page. Jerry Joyce is a real personable guy. On my first visit, I happened to be his last customer of the day. He answered EVERY ONE of my questions about wieners and sauce. I opted for two of "The Great Brat Pack Meal Ready To Go" packs in Weisswurst & Kielbasa. He explained that he didn't have any pre-made. It was getting late but I asked if he could make them to which he replied "Of course but... it's going to take some time". I told him as long as he didn't mind, I wouldn't mind. It was actually a pleasure watching him put the meals together into the seal a meal packs and vacuum the air out of the wieners. The meal consists of: Four wieners, a side order of Schroll's Sauerkraut and just enough Schroll's Mustard to dab on the wieners. While he was creating the wiener packs, he answered all of my questions about the other items for sale in the display area. I ended up getting a jar of Three Bean Salad, a couple of jars of Cornichons (little pickles) and a jar of mustard. We talked about our shared heritage (his Grandmother, Mum and Wife are of German descent whereas my Grandfather and Mum were of German descent). I told him how I was part of a team that did a sheet metal job in Germany 🇩🇪 and that was one of the highlights of my career (I'm retired). The next thing you know, he was finished packing the wieners and it was time to go with just 10 minutes left on the clock. This place is great! My family and I are addicted to the soft pretzels. They are better than the popular ones you can get in the mall. They are frozen and easy to warm up quickly in an air fryer or oven. The meat products are all very fresh and delicious also an easy air fryer meal. They have fresh artisan breads and toppings like fancy mustards, sauces and sauerkraut. If you want a delicious, quick, no dirty dishes dinner this is your spot. Stopped by for my first time today and was very impressed. The owner was great. He spent a lot of time with me explaining the different products he sells. You can even taste all the mustards and sauerkraut, never seen a place where one can do that. Everything tasted wonderful.

He is very knowledgeable about the differences between the products made in different regions of Germany. I look forward to taking my wife there and having her sample the mustards.
