Liberty Hall Event Center — Local services in Edgewood

Let’s start with pros about this hall. It is clean and clearly well kept. It is spacious and affordable. Also the gentlemen who let us in and came back to lock up the day of was so helpful and kind. That being said, this is NOT what I expected as a venue. From the beginning, answers about the place (via someone at the city building) were extremely vague. I was told I could not even step inside the hall for a minute prior to my rental time to see what it looked like since there is no clear picture online. If I wanted to see it beforehand I would have to pay an additional hour. Of course, I didn’t actually get into the venue until 2 minutes after my time started but didn’t get a refunded hour. I tried to keep in mind that this isn’t really a venue but a hall. So when I made a floor plan of what I ASSUMED the layout was so I could get an idea of where the bathrooms, doors, etc were then asked the person to confirm via email.. I tried not to be aggravated by the response stating only “There will be 10 round tables and 8 chairs per table, and 4 rectangular tables as a standard setup.” I get to the hall that day and there are only 9 round tables and 2 rectangular tables. The gentlemen who let us in was more than happy to gather us more tables however when that is the ONLY information I didn’t have to drag out of them, I would’ve expected at least that small detail to be correct. I would only recommend this hall if you are on a very tight budget and have no other options. Oh, also I wanted to make sure there was WiFi for our music, I was told that it “should” be working but have a backup plan. WHAT?! Aaah. I know that I will never rent this space again even if...

Sunday I attended my aunt's 90th birthday party here. The facility is conveniently located near the entrance of Freedom Park. There was another event happening at the same time. This made the size of the parking lot only adequate at best. The event space was a large room with an attached kitchen and plenty of tables and chairs for the guests. The bathrooms are in the lobby area just outside the event room. I am not sure if the food was provided by the facility but the beef and chicken barbecue pretty good.
