H-E-B — Local services in Edna

When Wally World left Edna, it was a major blow to all that lived in & around this area. I prayed HEB would step up and help fill the void but that didn't happen. I know that the corporate office decides what the store receives when a delivery, (this is because that is what I was told by the checkers & Mgmt.) Corporate has no idea what the people of our town needs. I wish they (Corp.) would let the mgnt.of our store Order what the people are requesting. I know Edna is like the "red headed step child" when it comes to deliveries in our area. I feel, We are almost the last place delivery companies want to come. I'm praying HEB would get their s**t together & help the people in our area will keep the products we want/need on their shelves, but I've seen more empty shelfs than before. Mgnt. Sure wish you didn't have to drive to EL Campo or Victoria to shop. Last week I purchased some HEB rice cakes and to my surprise I found the cakes to have been eaten on. It wasn't realize until I got to the second set of cakes. Both packs were opened and I had already eaten some of the crumbs which I guess were left from the rat that ate on it. Made me sick to my stomach. I took them back to the store & they didn't real seem too concerned other than for the little white tag on the bag. I looked on the shelf & nothing was taken off. I got a feeling they don't believe me. The manager said I could have any HEB item for compensation but I have yet to see anything. At one point I was needing help from the food bank & most all the HEB items...

Since the local Walmart shut down WE have noticed higher prices Yes its noticeable check the Heb in Victoria there prices are lower.also do not like the fact they sometimes take away something just to force people to buy the higher priced item...Wish they would carry deli meat and seafood not a chance here ,,All they need is another grocery store here to compete and keep there prices in check..Also tired of bagging my own grocery ,prices are high enough make you workers do there job and bag the darn groceries ...and yes we noticed the bagels went up a dollar .will bee getting them in Elcampo now..BOO....Some of the workers are friendly and do try that is why I give them 2 stars instead of 1 oh maybe less bakery...
