Ambiance very nice.. Comfortable.. Nicely lite. I did have a leak above me. Leaking on me.. AC ? Ok.. Tonight's staff. Crystal my waitress.. La Toya.. The evil sister waitress. And manager Pepe. Zander, The humble servant. Nice young man. The food is excellent !! Hot well plated and I was full. The hostess NEW.. Needs to understand that the host/ess are the managers eyes and ears. If they are trained right.. They are sub Management. Bad service or neglect they should IMMEDIATELY RESPOND !! Not walk around oblivious. They are not statues to simply greet you. They should note points of service viscosity. Therefore Management can work on other areas needing ATTENTION. 1sr. Always within 2 minutes a beverage order taken.. Not tonight.. Some confusion. But waitress Crystal was very congenial. Even made fresh coffee. I took 2 of my long haul drivers to dinner. Next to us sat a single male diner. My issue was this. La toya was clearly not a team player. Selfish woman. My (1) driver had an empty ice tea glass. La Toya pouring ice tea to adjacent tables ignored teamwork and poured only her table. She needs to be suspended for a day to PONDER why team work works ! But she wore blinders. Only THINKING of herself and her 1 table next to us. NEVER looked over to assist her associate server Crystal and team as a whole. I had to ask a young man server to PLEASE DELIVER and refill ice teas. I awarded him $5 . VERY polite young 👨. Zander. The manager Pepe stopped by.. Doing what he should do. Table tapping..( greeting & checking each table for quality). He did after discovering a review writer was (me) within his restaurant. Nice man.. But needs to teach service. Also the value of repeat customers. Disgruntled guest tell about 12 friends of bad service at any given restaurant. Math fact. If I see 4 truck driver/$ I'm smart enough too know.. They are thirsty.. Driving all day.. even leave a half pitcher. What works best.. But when I see 1/3 glass of ice.. Note pic !!! It is a clear sign of I don't TRUST my server to return. RESTAURANT CUSTONER PSYCHOLOGY 101.. LAZY SERVICE. Doesn't earn a tip ! Team work does. Server Zander. Quickly ran too get ice tea refills. I Will revisit.. The food...

Ahh me Hartee's there be a loves just east of Pensacola. If you can wait stop here. It has a great restaurant The Train Wreck, a subway and a Chester's chicken place. Personally I am not fond of Chester's at all.
I have no complaints about this place. Reasonable in pricing for a Cstore. The gift shops, trucker supplies as well as a local supplier for some regional wines and ales.
The man cave always playing some sort of game.
Plenty of Pirate Swag here.
I am here because we all know if you have something Pirate themed I will stop and check it out. Such is the case they have a Pirate ship in the store. This Truck stop is not like the others. It is very family oriented, gift shop, train themed diner, subway, and the normal cstore wheels of death (hot dogs).
I did eat here today. Between 10$ and 15$ a plate is expected. I was satisfied with the portion. It looked a little light on the fries but in the end I did not finish everything.
I did fell rushed by the server bringing the ticket right after I received my plate of food. Then not being 1/2 way she was prompting me for payment... So much for the pie.
There are many gifts and things to see, so stop by here on...
Read moreHow rude can management be? Closing for 6 hours, FOR A PARTY!? This place is a service that drivers DEPEND on. It's not like you can go a few blocks down the road and get the same thing. Drivers sitting in the lot, not able to go any farther, with no food, except for the snacks they carry, having to smell all the cooking going on for your party. Employee appreciation is good, but employees aren't what keeps your business going. It's the drivers you take for granted. And you flaunt your party at their expense. If you think you can't run a business and have your fun at the same time, it would be nice if you were courteous enough to put a large sign at the entrance to the lot so that drivers can get on down the road to get fuel, food and showers, the necessities, before their time runs out. Instead they shut down, unwind while they're packing their bag for a shower, take their time walking in, because they're tired after a long hard day of loading, tarping (which is a very dirty job that makes you look forward to a nice hot shower at the end of the day) and driving. Only to find a small sign on the door and now they're out of hours. We've stopped here for years, but didn't realized how truly selfish and unappreciative the management is of their...
