He also gave us a very fair price on some silver coins we traded, and evaluated the rest of my collection and gave some really good nuggets of info to look for as a novice collector and also as somebody interested in history. Read moreI will never deal with them again. Today's spot price for Sterling Silver is $.90 a gram per Kitco. They offered me $78 for 170 grams of Sterling Silver. You do the math.... that's 50% !! I have never heard of anyone, jeweler, dealer, smelter, "cash for gold" place working on a 50% margin. Absolute thievery. Avoid at all costs. The employee there had a little sheet with numbers the boss gave him to work with, he could not even hold a conversation about metals or prices or anything. 15-30% is common practice... but 50% is straight thievery. Do you research on what your pieces are worth before considering an offer from them. There are more fair places around to do...
