Blue Hole — Local services in Elizabethton

This waterfall, rock cliffs, naturalized woods and plants were breathtakingly gorgeous. The area surrounding the waterfall consisted of multiple footpath trails and one man-made wooden steps trail were available. All trails were extremely steep, even dangerous and difficult, and definitely not the best idea for anyone with balance issues, bad knees, or impaired mobility. Additionally, broken glass shards were throughout the paths The parking area was heartbreakingly eroded with trash left, dumped, and/or thrown out by people. It’s a shame how people disrespect and destroy the beauty of nature. I would like to give 5 stars simply for the beauty of the waterfalls. But, I formally give only two stars due to the dangerous steepness and, sadly, the contamination from trash and broken...

Beautiful set of four waterfalls. Travel 1 mile up app Panhandle Road from Highway 91. Gravel parking area on left. Walk down past gate and then turn left to a 200 ft trail that leads that leads to steps that go down into it. Be careful there is no hand railing and the water is very cold if you decide to get in. Blue hole falls very beautiful but not well marked. We're expecting a parking lot an a marked trail with signs. Nope. There is a area off the dirt road big enough for a few car's and a unmarked trail. We guessed correctly and made it to the falls. Outstanding! The trail is steep and rooted if you have problems walking you may not make it. There are some steps going down but they are about 16" high. They are more like small cascading decks.
