I going to highly recommend this location for its own produce. The cherries were very flavorful and the apricots were clearly left to ripen on the tree, with a proper apricot aroma and delicious taste. Mind you it is pricey. I spent $19 for a tart cherry pie only to find out that it was not made on-site but from a distributor bakery in Traverse City. And it was below average. Would not have spent more than $6 at most. The filling seemed to be from a can and definitely lacked the tartness I was hoping for. Still would recommend stopping by for their own produce. Would have given them 5 stars if their prices were not so tourist trap high

My favorite pie place up north. They also sell fresh produce, jams and other baked goods. My fave to get is the peach pecan pie. But all their other pie flavors are great as well.

My grandmother worked for Altonen for quite some time. Lou on 72. Pies, jams, some of the best sweet corn ever, you name it. I stop in every year for a little something.

The ladies running this greenhouse are awesome! They are friendly and helpful. The flower and veggie plants are some of the best I have seen...and I visit quite a few greenhouses! Prices are better than some other places. ..and let's not forget the flower baskets they have made up! They are beautiful, full/lush and well maintained! Great job ladies..we will be back...especially to check out your market for fruits and...

Great, beautiful, bunches of produce can be had at this farmstand! There were cabbages as big as basketballs. There were wax beans which I have not had in an age. Salad makings of cucumber, tomatoes, and red leaf lettuce were available. Several kinds of peppers were there to be had. Watermelons, squash, apples galore, and homemade pies were...
