Unfortunately our stay at Briawood Homestead did not go very well. The place is a cute farmhouse, very nice and cozy. The hot tub was not very clean when we first arrived my husband got the jets going but the hot tub would not heat up. My husband spend much of our first couple of hours trouble shooting the issue but we could not get it to work. There was a person onsite that did try to help us but also told us that we had to work with the management company. The management company would not answer our calls, but did respond to a few emails and told us that they would call for help for the hot tub but we never heard anything. After we realized that we would not be able to use the hot tub we settled in made dinner and were playing some games and then we had encounters with multiple mice which were getting into our food. We ended up packing up and headed into town and had to pay for a hotel that night and then proceeded to drive home the next morning. We did send communication to Country Cabins but they have not replied to any emails or voice mails. We have never had such an issue with a stay.
I would hope that they would reach out to make...
Read moreWe booked Stix and Stones and did hiking at Hocking Hills during Memorial Day weekend. Nice clean cabin, and possessed all basic necessities. Unfortunately the hot tub was filthy and pump would not stay running rendering it pretty useless for our stay. The batteries and back of tv remote in living room were missing too, but we figured out how to manually turn the TV off and on as well as adjust the volume. I tried calling and emailing property manager but got no response. We enjoyed fishing the pond and caught 6-7 bass. Was too cold to use the pool but didn't look like it had been treated yet. This cabin very was close to HWY 93. We couldn't hear traffic while inside the cabin but the road noise was pretty loud outside as we did make use of the fire pit. There was also a dog in the petting zoo area that barked loudly throughout the night. I would have given this cabin 4 out of 5 stars, but the hot tub was one of the main reasons we chose this cabin and were pretty disappointed we were unable to use it after...
Read moreJust got back today from staying at spicewood cabin for a while weekend. Needless to say me and my girlfriend wish we were still there. It was so beautiful, quite, and secluded. It's basically a lake house too which is really nice. You can fish, walk all the way around it, have a fire, whole 9 yards, a grill on the front porch, allso the hot tub was super nice to have. Cabin itself was absolutely beautiful inside and out, super clean, cozy, had everything you needed, and plenty of space. Also allows pets so being able to bring my dog was a huge plus. Host is great at communicating I mean within minutes he/she will get back to you. It's a half hour away from Hocking hills and wherever else you would want to go to when you are there. We loved staying there and can't wait...
