Crossroads Community Church — Local services in Elkhart

I am moving so I will leave the honest review I can give you:/ I tried and tried to have an open mind but they believe that they can bring people to God but only God himself can work through you you don’t get to choose if Gods going to enlighten someone or not it seems to be a pretty big topic on their agenda. I brought my friends kiddo with me and their family doesn’t have much money so she wasn’t dressed the greatest and I tell you I got bad looks and someone I say hi to every weekend wouldn’t even say hi after looking at the girl then looking at me he turned away. Which honestly made me quite sad. The pastor has preached some great things but it seems he doesn’t ever connect with anyone in the church just gets on stage. I just always have felt like nothing when I walk in this church I’m just another potential pay day. I don’t feel the love of God in this church I feel more judgement and less compassion and care for people maybe I just needed a smaller church or something but that’s a good explanation after about a year of going here how I view it there’s also no small groups that I know of which is a really big down fall :/ and they don’t share about everything going on like the children activities going on all the time at the...

Before I start. I want to say that there isn’t something super wrong and I didn’t have a bad experience but there are a couple things I want to note for people looking for a home church. First, if you are a new Christian or a Christian that actually is wanting to grow your faith and community with other Christian’s I don’t recommend coming here. I feel that it’s too big. I was at the building pretty early and no one said anything to me. I didn’t feel welcomed. I felt that most of the people come to this church just to check it off of their list for the one hour a week. The message was kinda basic and boring. He tried to make jokes but they didn’t land. Worship was great but people didn’t seem to be into it. Like we are talking about freedom, deliverance, joy. Everyone is just statues. They seemed more excited for the pastor than the God they worship. Next, just talking about worship. The bass player and electric guitar player looked bored out of their minds. The 5 songs that worship team did was lead only by one singer the whole time. The other 4 singers stage presence was interesting. This church seems big in the community but more like bringing more people and money in. Maybe not actually sharing a proper gospel and...

We absolutely love this church! Pastor Tim always delivers a great sermon with some comedy usually thrown in. They have a great set up for youth and children. Younger age ranges go to their own separate playroom/classroom during service although your welcome to keep your children with you, most seats toward the back sides near the doors are for that to make it more convenient if you have to leave to nurse them or restroom breaks. They have a pretty good band overall with a projector so you can follow along with them. They're always doing different activities throughout the year and reaching out to the community however those are the one thing we don't participate in due to overcrowding and the people that are just there for the free activities which is the only reason I give the church a 4 instead of a 5.
