I have not been to this place since its opened, but i read the articles and wish i could reach out and actually give the owners skme backstory..... all the "whimsical" craftsmanship, the marble inlays in the wood floor upstairs, the crazy blue staircase and sooooooo much left what seemed to be half done. I was 1 of the 3 people that took this job over after the original contractors had the entire Showroom collapse in on them. There was 1 painter named ralph thay hand painted every single thing in there, and we built the solid circle front window, the motorcar shaped logo that was supposed to be a. Sink upstairs long ago. And the bench and barrels along with the strange logo right before the stepdown to the front window and the smalles room that as close to a barbie dreamhouse as you can get.... i would loce.to.talj to these guys and just thabk them for keeping it alive. Its a shame it could t ve finished before but for the same reasons it was up for aution, LOTS of stuff ended up being left un-finished. But the place is amazing considering the only blueprint was drawn on a cheap paper plate with a crayon. lol....... soo glad to see whats been done. I will reach out to the owners and hopefully fill in some of the published mysteries of WHY, WHO and HOW* Its definitely worth...
Read moreReally cool items!! Such variety. Even more impressive building- the interior is like a beautiful maize. One down side is that not everything has a price tag. With that many items, it is understandable for one or two things to sneak through the cracks.

Some people may really appreciate this because it feels like a hunt, but I would just prefer more organization.
I bought a high quality cast iron pan and a sterling silver bracelet. I had my eye on a pair of earrings, but the employees had to wait to hear back from the marketplace person to actually price the item.
I think there's a bathroom on each floor, and there's parking on the front of the building, but also a larger lower parking lot hidden beside...
Read moreMan! I feel like I've been living under a rock! I've been driving by this place for years on my way to visit my relatives that live on Mt Desert Island, and today (November 26, 2024) marks my first official visit here.
I will give you the short version and say there is indeed something for everyone, but be ye forewarned, mateys, there are three floors of awesomeness to explore, so do not plan for a five minute trip.
This place is like "Labyrinth of the goblin king", except you're not trying to beat the 13-hour clock. Instead, it's more like you're on a quest to find some cool treasures.
Anyway, definitely check this place out. You are guaranteed to have a fun afternoon doing some...
