DO NOT STOP HERE!!!
You will see in other reviews that there was a McDonald's here not anymore You will see that there was a Valero here, not anymore. These are updated pictures as of March 2025 that there is a Subway and a Taco John's in one building and what separated them from the main gas station. This particular service area is just north of emporia and way south of Topeka do not stop here for anything to eat or nothing because if this is the crappiest service area I have ever been in and I have traveled all over the United States. I have attached pictures these are updated since 3 2025 and just appalling. The wonderful loves that is on i-70 which is also a service area right before Topeka headed westbound wonderful it has a McDonald's it has a godfather's Pizza and gas and they're all in one building. It's nice it's clean and they speak English. All of the ones on i-70 are great The one on 470 and in is listed as emporia service center is crap. It's worse than crap I rather clean up dog s*. Absolutely not...
Read moreThank the good lord for these stops along the turnpike! We were so glad & fortunate to come across this little oasis, out there between the towns. We were close to being out of gas, the only thing was we had to drive around all the pumps looking for any gas that wasn't diesel! We weren't alone in this adventure, others were out there looking for that prized premium gas. It was kinda funny when we finally found a few pumps that were non-diesel! It offered restrooms & usual store to fill up on snacks & such, maybe pick out a few souvenirs & post cards!! This was a delight for us to come across, especially compared to the price of using the turnpike. To get from Wichita, the east side up to Topeka, cost us $8.25!! It was a lot cheaper a couple of years ago!! The one bad thing about using a turnpike...
Read morePump was dispensing fuel at an extremely slow rate on pump 9. Several minutes and didn’t even reach one gallon yet. Told staff behind counter who said it will dispense slow when other pumps are in use (which is not good because the station was designed to be able to have all pumps in use. Also I’ve used this station on a busy day before and this was not a problem). Another problem is the display showed I pumped over 20 gallons and charged for that amount. My vehicle only has 19 gallons, and thats assuming I push the car up to the pump with a completely empty tank. This is adds up to a costly malfunction for customers and a bonus of cash for the station. Men’s restroom was filthy. Urine and trash on the floor. Today was a waste of money and time taking...
