I shopped around before buying my High Altitude Trailer (HAT) from Earthship Overland. Blue Dog RV in Las Vegas had a base/entry model for 25K and then they wanted an extra $2,500.00 to have it delivered from one of their other dealerships. Then I found Earthship Overland. When I spoke with Doug, the owner, he gave me his word that he wouldn’t sell the HAT trailer out from under me and he kept his word. Doug explained that the HAT trailer I was interested in was actually in production and wouldn’t be available for a couple of weeks. I was able to get significant upgrades and get MORE trailer for the same money that Blue Dog RV wanted. Earthship Overland is about a thirty-minute drive from the HAT factory and they’re as close to factory direct as you can get. Both Doug and Charles are super friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful; they even went to the factory and took “baby” pictures for me. Did I mention that they are honest and keep their word? On the day that we took delivery, we got a surprise visit from Dario Diaz, VP of HAT, who happened to be at Earthship Overland. Dario took time out of his busy schedule to speak with my wife and I and have his picture taken with us. Even though it was a bit of a drive for us to go to Earthship Overland, it was quite a savings compared to Blue Dog RV. I highly recommend Earthship Overland to anyone interested in buying a High Altitude Trailer. And one last thing – they are very dog friendly! Thanks Doug...
Read moreI bought a custom High Altitude XT-50 about a year ago through Earthship Overland. The owner, Doug, has been the pinnacle of professionalism, honesty, integrity, and kindness over the past year. Doug is a man of impeccable character and great personality. HIs entire approach is that he genuinely wants his customers to have a positive experience at his dealership and with their purchases. There is no up-selling whatsoever....ever. He is extremely knowledgable and spends whatever time is needed with customers so that their preferences and needs are accommodated. He is a former engineer and is extremely detail-oriented. As a result of all of this, my personal experience with my off-road trailer has been fantastic and more fun than I could have imagined. When towing my High Altitude Trailer, I am CONSTANTLY asked about it by complete strangers and am constantly fielding comments (often shouted from other moving vehicles, "I LOVE your setup!"). At gas stations, numerous people always walk up to the trailer admiring it and ask where I purchased it. Earthship Overland also is constantly evolving - featuring the latest, innovative overlanding trailers, campers, products and gear. Simply put, if you are looking for an off-road trailer purchase experience customized to suit your particular preferences and infused with integrity, professionalism, and kindness from start to finish (and even after that) you need to look no farther than...
Read moreAbout a month ago, I stopped in and talked with Charles, who walked me through a High Altitude Trailers model XT50. Oh boy, it was exactly was I was looking for!
I took the trailer home a couple of weeks ago buzzing, like a kid on X-mas eve, to get it into the woods. The next night I slept a few miles up a jeep trail in the Pike National Forest - happy to the core with purchase.
On the way out, the trailer experienced a hiccup. What happened next is what earns Doug, Charles, Earthship, and High Altitude Trailers a 5-star rating and my enthusiastic support/loyalty.
Earthship and High Altitude took the hiccup seriously, went the extra mile, maybe the extra several miles, resolved the issue, and had me back in the forest the very next weekend.
Doing the right thing when it's easy still counts, but doing the right thing when it's hard deserves respect and honor. When placing your trust in a trailer that will accompany you and your family dozens of miles away from the nearest pavement, trusting the builder and dealer is particularly critical.
5-stars guys! And my sincere comfort recommending Earthship and...
