There is a serious lack of communication and knowledge on their own policies. I called a week prior to boarding my 2 dogs to ask about vaccines and to make sure they could board my small puppy, she’s only 4 months old. I even came in and spoke with them in person that same day. On the day of drop off I find out I was misinformed on vaccines but they gave me the risks and accepted them which I was very grateful for because I was going out of town that same day. I told them they are boarding for 2 night and I will pick them up on Sunday. Sunday comes along and they’re closed, tried calling their number and it just rang then drove back again to see if I maybe missed a sign for a way to contact them but nothing. I came in first thing Monday morning to pick them up and explain what happened the day before. Apparently there is a specific window you can pick up on Sundays that they didn’t tell me about. They grabbed the owner and I explained what happened and all the miscommunication and he said that his staff is very well trained and he finds it very hard to believe that I would have multiple issues. He went on to say that they should have just turned me away at drop off and they shouldn’t have accepted a puppy as young as mine. Just showing that there is a lack of knowledge of their own policies. I would had made other arrangements that week prior to my trip if they were just upfront and honest with me, that was the whole reason I called and...

We recently moved from the Midwest to Cedar. Our Great Daniff, Opal, has always had half day daycare. I was concerned that I wouldn’t find a daycare and if I did…it wouldn’t be a similar experience for her. It has been great! She has many puppy friends to play with!!! I’m so thankful we found Red Rover at the Hitchin’ Post. Everyone takes the best care of our Opal and does their absolute best to treat her like their own 4-legged family member. What a relief it has been to find Red Rover! They all are amazing. We are strong believers in working out that canine energy every single day and daycare provides that and keeps her socialized so she continues to be a great canine citizen. As an added bonus, staff work on her training issue of waiting and not pulling on her lead. The expectations Red Rover has related to behavior have only helped our Opal to be a good puppers. I can’t thank Red Rover staff enough. The experience is always what I would want for her and the facility is top notch clean and what you want for you animal...

Was pretty disappointed!

Note I don't have to groom my dog very often. Usually he can go for 3 or so months & my dog groomer was out of town, so I tried the Hitch and Post.

I took my shitzu to get groomed about 3 to 4 weeks ago. When I picked him up, his hair was still matted up underneath. I wanted them to keep him as long as possible, but it didn't look like they even cut his hair. I still wanted him to be trimmed up. I really wanted them to get out the matting. His face was cut very unevenly. The hair in between his eyes and nose was still long. I asked to have his tail trimmed, and it wasn't. He wasn't shaved very well underneath. Overall, it was a BAD haircut! I was quite embarrassed to take him anywhere. I was so upset because I tipped before I even saw him. Spent 43 dollars. I had to take Mozzie to get the works again since my groomer is back home. She has to cut him really short because he is so matted. It's a good thing she doesn't charge as much as the hitch and post. She does a great job and I won't be...

Red Rover Retreat is a clean, well run, friendly and professional doggie daycare/boarding center. We were extremely impressed with their organized facility as well as their sweet and patient way with our Magnus. He loved his time there! They also sent us a "report card " daily letting us know how he was doing including fun pictures of him with his new friends. It was all very comforting to know he was so well taken care of and for such a reasonable price too. In the past we've always hired neighbor kids to take care of him but now we'll be taking him to Red Rover. It really was a great experience for him and for us.

Moose is a gentle giant. Newfie/Pyres. The manager of Red Rover was so good to work with me to find a time for grooming. The groomer, right away was so cute with him and took several hours to work through his long double coat. Not only were they good to Moose. As I sat in the parking lot waiting for Moose I watched many happy dogs coming for a long visit and others being picked up. I watched the staff entertain the dogs in the play yard. I am very impressed with the business and definitely will return with Moose. Clean facility! Cheerful staff! Dogs coming and going are relaxed and happy! Win/win
