Trucker Overnight Parking PROHIBITED! ALABAMA... You've Got to be Kidding. A Thursday night around 10:00p and I'm running low on Driving Hours. i was hoping that I'd find one spot, but as I entered the lot, the place looked like a Ghost Town. There were parking spaces Everywhere.. "Lucky Me" I thought until I saw the "OVERNIGHT PARKING PROHIBITED" sign. What the What? There were possibly 7 other trucks parked at the time and as I continued to think about taking an "Overnight Chance", 2 of them drove away.. Shortly after that... I drove away. ALABAMA... WHAT'S UP?

TL;DR: Baldwin Welcome Center is spacious with plenty of parking, outdoor seating, clean bathrooms, and helpful staff. No overnight parking allowed.

The Baldwin Welcome Center is a large, well-maintained complex with ample parking and plenty of outdoor eating areas. The bathrooms are spacious and clean, and there are numerous spigots throughout the lawn area, which is convenient. Signs indicate that overnight parking isn’t allowed, so keep that in mind. The indoor information area is nice and was staffed when I visited at 3:30 PM, making it easy to get any questions answered. Overall,...

The womens restroom was clean and stocked. The building and grounds were clean and well kept. There were lots of pine trees, several covered picnic tables and a 'stretch your legs' walking trail that is .254 miles around, I think, and it goes around the restroom building. They were doing work on the building when we were there. I don't know if they are adding on or remodeling...

Very nice WELCOME center. You have to stop in and visit with them. They have a staff of friendly people that can answer any questions about Alabama. The large entrance area is decorated for Easter. 🐇. Lots of holiday things to look at. AND the restrooms are clean. SWEET HOME ALABAMA 😁
