Please read entire review! I would give zero stars if that was an option. Staff is extremely rude. "Clark" whom I assume is management or owner, was exceedingly unprofessional and advised me that if I was unhappy with they way things were, I could leave. Theater was dirty with trash left in and around seating and an odd unpleasant odor emanating from the seat. As over priced as they are, I expected much better. If we wouldn't have drove so far to come here, I would have left. I WILL NEVER come here again. Worst theater experience of my life. Please take my advice and RUN.
Update: The weapon issue was just a small part of an over all bad experience. Your response tells me that you were the person I spoke to. Let me list the discrepancies. Yes, you offered to "refund" me the money. You were extremely aggressive and confrontational. It was a "my way or the highway" approach. I have recorded evidence to back my claims as well as witnesses. "With all due respect", that is not what I call customer service, that you have stated in prior reviews to care so much about. I have been in my field for over 10 years and I have never had a contact quite like this one. You would think that the owner of the establishment would be pleased to have free security for the time that we were there. I observed, and have recorded evidence, of persons at the consession stand dropping the popcorn scoop on the ground, picking it up, rinsing it off with water only and using it immediately to scoop popcorn. Please check the security footage if you don't believe me, or provide an email address and I would be happy to send it to you. As I stated prior, the immediate area around where I was seated was FILTHY. There were jolly rancher wrappers everywhere and a white gooey substance on the seat next to mine that I am frightened to know exactly what it was. Upon reviewing other reviews, I am not the only one that has experienced a foul odor and filth. I find it rather amusing that the only thing you search is bags for the "safety" of the patrons. From a security standpoint your methods are sorely lacking. Any number of weapons or contraband can be successfully hidden and easily get through your so called "screening " as I proved upon reentry. It seems to me that it's more of a power seeking move. "I'm the boss and you're gonna do what I say". A woman's purse or bag is a private place. It is demeaning and sometimes embarrassing for it to be searched without due cause. Its with an almost 95% frequency that females carry bags. I invite you to name just a few females that have been involved in a mass shooting. It is a private establishment, so I will digress. You do not have to worry about me or mine ever darkening your doorstep again. I will ensure I spread your publicity far and wide. I find it rather interesting that you only reply to the negative reviews in detail, but skim over the 5 star reviews with a simple thanks. I believe that they require the same attention as the negative reviews. There are many more personal opinions I have in reference to the way you run your business, but I won't allow this to turn political. Have a great...
Read moreI've been to the new Clark Cinemas twice now and I have to say, I love the place. Every film shown is now fully digital and the quality is unquestioned.
The individual auditoriums are different sizes, with primary features being shown in the largest. They have what is called a "BAS" screen which I have not yet seen, but I can only assume is comparable to an IMAX type production. The rest of the rooms are cozy, if not down right intimate, seating maybe 75-100 maximum occupants.
My favorite feature, however, are the full size recliner type seats. Each seat is oversized and has two armrests, cup holders on both sides, and a tray that swings in and out of the way when needed. Did I mention the recliners? They are absurdly comfortable and recline all the way back. Thankfully, the designer also had the foresight to leave plenty of room between the rows for people to pass between them.
Let's talk about the concessions. Long gone are the days of just popcorn and a Coke when one goes to the movies. Clark Cinemas offers a huge range of goodies including, but not limited to: candy, pizza, hamburgers, hot dogs, nachos, and more! I am a traditionalist, however, and have this far have not tried anything else. When I do, I will be sure to update my review!
Overall, this place is amazing. It is easily equal to and in many ways surpasses the huge corporate megaplexes that have become all to common. The prices are reasonable, especially for the...
Read moreThis was my first visit to this theater. The movie quality was generally good (the screen seemed a bit dark in the second row. That could be due to the seating angle, but with assigned seats I couldn't experiment). The seating was comfortable as well.
Now for the reason for the two star rating. The concessions weren't overpriced per se. I've seen better and I've also seen worse. What really ticked me off was the extra fee. Yes, you read that correctly. You are charged an additional fee for using a debit card for less that TEN DOLLARS! That is an incredibly high cap particularly since there is no such additional fee for tickets (it's likely already factored in to the ticket price). Since I was by myself, I would have been forced to order a giant meal of unhealthy food to avoid an extra charge thus costing me even more. I have never seen such at an establishment such as this. In some restaurants, gas stations and other low income businesses thus may be normal but that sort of behavior here took me by surprise. What makes it worse is that there is not a single sign anywhere warning you about there card cap. Even after questioning the employees about it they confirmed that there were no signs. That's too bad for you but your nickel and dime behavior just turned me away from the whole chain of theatres. Shameful. I really should have just made them pour it out and not paid for it. I will go elsewhere for the remainder of my movie going...
