Once you get to the summit, the view is incredible! There is a huge flat rock, like a table, no doubt how the mountain got its name. We went up the orange trail which was very steep. We have a 10 year old and a 12 year old, and the climb was pretty tough for all of us, especially our 10 year old. The orange trail consists mostly of climbing up a series of steep stone steps. Be forewarned. It took us about 1 hour and 20 minutes including a few stops to catch our breath and hydrate ourselves. However, if you are able to go up this side, there are a couple of spots along the way which overlook the side of the mountain and provide nice photo ops. We went down the blue trail and it was much more tame. The blue trail would be the option if you had a dog or are unable to handle the steep climbs. The orange section is very hard, including a large boulder field, and would be nearly impossible with a dog.
